I went to the location in Sherman way before and I order tamales and champurrado the tamales was frozen inside and the champurrado I bring to my house was ranció after i taste., today I order birria and champurrado the atole don’t have sugar and cinnamon not flavor of chocolate.,
Food is delicious! Doesnt usually take very long to get your order i suggest calling ahead. Sometimes they won't get your online order just call. There's almost never parking its so tiny. Just order on phone and pick up to go. Sustainable packaging your food will still be delicious. Here are some sopes of asadaand 2 rolled taquitos of chicken! Mmm! So good
Food was great but they need to have more toppings cream,fresh cheese,avocado etc they don’t have nothing . Workers are like zombies

Absolutely phenomenal. This is one of two locations within a mile of each other. Both make delicious fresh handmade tortillas. I got chicken fajitas and they were 10/10 amazing. Amazing food. One of my new favorites in the valley
Why is this place my favorite restaurant event though it is so small. I know that nowadays people are looking for fancy restaurants but the food is horrible. Socorro restaurant always has fresh Tortillas handmade by those hard working women. Their fry beans like omg but just go once and I promise you will be hook with their food.
Food was amazing... Taste just like home made Mexican traditional food. Service is fast once you have battled for a seat. That's right I've been there before, and had to leave because of the wait time. The food is great, and I get why they are always packed.
If you go here, you're going for quality, delicious food. Don't judge a book by its cover. Especially an older dustier cover. It is clear the food is delicious or else the place would not be as packed with customers as it is. And those tortillas are some of the best!
Small, homey place. Food was pretty good. Only marking them down 1 star because the chilaquiles were different from what we expected. The parking situation is CRAZY! We got there around 9am and didn't have a problem with parking. Also, there are small booths for 4 people so I'd be hard to accommodate a large party. Will definitely return!
Always delicious food if you like chicken quesadillas, then make sure to always order 2 because they are small and very delicious the horchata is yummy there as well :) and the burritos with carne asada. There's never parking cause the parking lot is so small but the food is well worth it
So good. It’s like going over to your friend’s grandmother’s house that makes the most delicious authentic Mexican food so you end up falling in love with his grandma. The beans are creamy and tortillas made in house.
Food is delicious. Parking is tiny and indoor seating is small. Staff is nice. Will go again maybe for take out. Don't recommend with party with multiple cars
Homemade food. Spendy for what it is. PLASTIC SPOONS and STYROFOAM PLATES? I think for a $28.00 (per person) lunch, AT LEAST give us some better plates and spoons! Service is great here though!
First time ever eating from here I ordered a asada burrito and a sope and chile verde. I was so amazed how delicious the food is here. I was so happy how fast I got full just eating one tortilla with the chile verde. This is the only restaurant around that makes their tortillas by hand and so delicious and filling. I recommend anyone who loves handmade tortilla tacos this is the place to go in Van Nuys. I can't wait to go back to try there tacos. Reading from other reviews and I will disagree with them this place is by far the best place for tacos. Muchas gracias por la comida!
I've been to 3 locations. This one and the one on Zelzah and Devonshire are the better ones in my opinion. The food is always great and yes, the homemade tortillas are awesome. If you're expecting service like a place like El Torito, get real These ladies work hard and the place is authentic in taste and style and won't overcharge.
