Excellent place. Our group of 7 did a tough Mudder race in Rockford and Tortacos gaves us a table, cold beers and the food was so good. We had enchiladas, steak and chicken fajitas, flautas, and Asada dinner. The staff was amazing too by making sure we had drinks or anything else we needed.

It was good! This is the steak fajitas, they gave a ton of guac and I got two meals out of one. The time I went it looked like the waitresses were understaffed but they were hustling and doing their best! I’d come back :)

It's been over 10 years since the last time I ate here...I stopped into post office next door... my belly was hungry so I popped into Tortacos... I'm surprised this joint has thrived over the past 20 years... it looks good inside... very typical... good balance of artwork, photos and appropriate music... I ordered breakfast.... huevos a la Mexicana, which is very traditional... it was a good portion with about 5 to 6 goof quality tortillas... the staff was friendly... bilingual... I sometimes speak Spanish and English depending on circumstances... I'll be back with friends. It's walking distance from my home in Rock View near Toad Hall. #RockfordBungalow

This is probably the best Mexican restaurant we have ever eaten at. You should set aside all your stereotypes about Mexican restaurants in this place. The the exterior is unwelcoming and needs to be redecorated. But when we open the door we see the place is very clean. Even the bathrooms are very clean; the food was delicious and it appears to be family-owned. The women were pleasant and spoke excellent English and the food had gluten-free options. The tortillas were homemade and were made of corn when we ordered gluten-free options. The food was very tasty. We ordered steak quesadillas and one of us ordered the steak burrito. They were very reasonably priced at $10.75 We will definitely be back whenever we visit Rockford.

Very good had the usual steak buritto was quite big and flavorful. Had a good portion of steak, sour cream and rice and not to heavy on the beens which I like. The hot suace was pretty good green suace had a good mild heat and cilantro red suace had a good spice to it. The salsa had a small spice to it but it was kinda lacking in the tomato, onion and celantro department. The chips tasted a bit burnt they were not the best. All in all I'll totally go back here had a hole in a wall bar kinda feel to it.

Authentic feel and some interesting items on the menu make this a good option for Mexican food. Great chips and salsa and tasty burritos.
