Awesome little shop. Fantastic ice cream, and I’ve heard they also have awesome pizza. Met and talked to the owner and he was a real nice and welcoming fellow. He gave us all the best things to do in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back here!
Really nicely updated gas service center that rivals any coffee house anywhere. The Moose du Nord latte, with a shot of express, was delicious. It also offers a wonderful selection of apparel and gift items. You cannot miss it; there are the cutest, live size moose (a bear too…) all around the store. Definitely worth getting off US 23 to visit.
The food is absolutely incredible. Five stars-every time, no matter what we get. And the owners, Curt and Denise, are just as great! They go above and beyond for their customers, and really do have a fantastic little spot! Definitely recommend!
We were in the area on vacation and this spot came highly recommended — and it definitely lived up to the hype! We tried the pizza and it did not disappoint. It came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. They also offer several flavors of hand-dipped ice cream, which was a perfect treat after our meal. The place itself is small and charming, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. If you’re nearby, I’d highly recommend stopping in. It’s a great little local gem!
This place was a fantastic stop. They have a little bit of everything in the middle of nowhere—it's a gas station, gift shop, ice cream shop, and restaurant all rolled into one. You can find whatever you need, and the owners are very friendly, eager to chat with you about the area. This is a must-stop destination if you're in the vicinity.
Amazing place! I actually heard about this place on the radio that's in my little office at work, when they mentioned "A moose that's attracting people from all over." The owners are really cool! I think the guys name was Kurt, can't remember what the lady's name was. They were very accommodating and gave us tips on how to find Yooper Lites, and were really funny. The interior of Moose du Nord is really cool, I love the woodwork. And the pizza is really good, like surprisingly good! I joked to Kurt that it's better than Little Caesars. But seriously, the Greek Pizza is awesome! Kurt was so cool that he said we could borrow his UV light if we really wanted to find Yooper Lites!
After an extremely long day exploring the northern UP we were headed home and my relative wanted ice cream. The place was hopping with customers. We decided to order a pizza and take it back to our motel and eat at picnic table in front of our room. They warned us it would be awhile because the kitchen was slammed. We proceeded. It was totally worth the wait because it was so good but was really awesome was watching the owner interact with all the young kids that came in. If you have young kids this place is a must stop. Our pizza was fantastic and this place has some cool funky items.
I was about to lose hope of having a good coffee after i tasted a crap one in Curtis, we stopped here to try and guess what! they have the best coffee in the area, tasty, delicious in a paper cup, not foam, place is so cozy, you feel the spirit of the north inside. we bought food and coffee and blankets and souvenirs. i highly recommend visiting if you are around.
