Giovanni's is a Monticello legend. Excellent menu. Great food. Home of the "Godfather" sub. There are probably poems written about that hero . Highly recommend.

As Good as a Deli Gets, Fast,Courteous and Delicious!

We had pizza and garlic knots. I thought pizza was good my little 3 year old told the cook it was not. Staff were super friendly joked with our younger children and were overall very nice.

The pizza was okay but I've had better. I made the mistake of thinking I was in N.Y. and the pizza was going to be great no matter where I was.....Not the case. The sauce tasted like they opened the can of raw tomatoes and poured it on without cooking it. We had pepperoni, mush and olives on it. Pizza was crisp on the bottom but the top needed to be cooked little more. It was done just enough where the top of the pizza wasn't left too soft which in turn left the raw mushrooms they used slightly undercooked The crust could've been a little crispier was a tad too soft. The subs we ordered were great. Tuna melt, cold tuna grinder and three shaved steak grinders. The steak grinders had sauteed mush, onions and peppers the meat was sauteed and flavored perfectly and tasted great. Tuna melt and cold tuna were excellent, the tuna was made nicely not too much mayo and not too dry. Only thing I didn't like was that they used yellow american cheese on the melt.

Great subs here. I have been getting food here since I was a little kid and they were in their original location next to Paul Paskows liquor store where burger king is now. Their staff is friendly and good at their trade. Prices are fair. Never have had a bad experiance here in 30 years. You have to try their Godfather with everything!!!

I have been coming for 3 years now and the meatball sub is as delicious as the first time. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks for great food!

I wanted a Cuban sandwich but made with chicken and no ham. Kudos to the cook. I was told at first they couldn’t do it but to satisfy a customer it was made. The taste I was looking for exceeded my taste buds. Thank you!!!

OMG. First time here, just passing through town. Got the meatball sub half - and it’s huge! And the taste, it’s exactly as I remember from my days growing up here. The texture of the hero was spot on!! Meatballs must have been cooking all day, delish!! If I’m still in town tomorrow, I’m coming back to try their eggplant parm!
