York House Of Pizza

My wife and I walked in a few years ago right before they closed. We hadn’t realized it was so close to closing. The owner was as kind and pleasant as could be. He insisted we stay and order and so we did. I believe he had to fire the oven back up and everything. He proceeded to make us one of the most incredible pizzas I can remember. I’d been going up to Maine for many years and often stopped in for a pie here and it’s always been a favorite spot. Moved down to NC 4 years ago and so it been quite awhile since coming back up north. Just all around amazing experience. Not too many places left that offer excellence in service, product, and small-town kindness. Thank-you York HoP!!!

Food was AMAZING! We ended up stopping in to get food very randomly. We wanted to go to the beach, but weren't sure what beach until someone told us to try out the York house of pizza! I have to say, we are all SO happy we ended up here! Food was 10/10, pizza and mozz sticks! And the people working were very nice! Gave us all we needed, plates, napkins, plastic ware (if wanted) will be going back soon!

My family and I were traveling through town and needed a quick bite to eat. My daughter wasn’t feeling well and we didn’t want to take a long time. We stopped here and got a large cheese pizza. I was personally hoping that they would have slices because I like to have stuff on my pizza and my family does not but that’s OK… I sucked it up and just ate plain pizza. L O L! The workers in the shop were very friendly and our pizza came out rather quick. It started to get a little bit busier after we got there so we lucked out about that. The price was very reasonable, and the pizza was tasty. It was a little bit greasier than I had hoped for, but it was still good nonetheless. The store itself looks like it had not been remodeled since the 1970s, but as long as they are friendly, and their food is good, it doesn’t really matter to me what the place looks like. This is a good place to stop, if you’ve just want a quick bite to eat and nothing fussy.

I thought the interior was okay. But they have an air conditioner! My kids enjoyed it since we did the Cliff Walk and they were hot and tired. The woman behind the counter let my kids use their Wifi. We ordered a large cheese pizza . I paid for it after we ate it. The man behind the counter forgot to charge me. He was surprised I came to pay for it. The pizzeria was very busy. The phone kept ringing. People were walking in placing orders. People came in to sit down and eat. I think there were only two people behind the counter. No bathroom available. I'm not a big fan of pizza, but, there was a different taste to the sauce from other pizzerias. My daughter, who is finicky, wolfed down her slices.

Best halal pizza in the whole of US! I’m not even exaggerating. This delicious chicken Pakistani style pizza and amazing authentic Pakistani kebabs were absolutely delightful! Though it is not the fanciest place, food and service were amazing! I definitely recommend coming here.

Had a good veggie pizza after longtime and really loved customized pizza option...must try place... Specially their welcoming and smiling service to customers...

Large cheese pizza was good and meatball sub was good, but a little light on the meatballs. Place was clean enough and the service was good. We also ordered a 2 liter of diet soda with our meal. Total about $32. We'll be back!

We went for the first time this year and wondered how the food would be under the new ownership. We picked up a couple of salads and a cheese pizza and these were fresh and very tasty. We will be back!
