The food is great, everything feels and tastes like it's made 100% from scratch and the prices are very reasonable. The breaded chicken is a must try, the breading is seasoned well, is crisp on the outside, and incredibly juicy on the inside.
We are usually here for breakfast and it’s always great. Portions are substantial and the food tasty. We are especially appreciative of this restaurant’s willingness to accommodate our special needs. Service is prompt and efficient. The homemade sausage is delicious and everything is cooked to perfection. We have also had lunch here and the Reuben sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Cheeseburgers, fries, and onion rings are also very good.
Be sure to order the country fried steak with two sides for under $20
We were greeted at the door by the friendly gentleman letting us know to sit wherever. He recognized we had an upset 2 year old and quickly found a way to cheer him up. The goodie bag saved the night and cheered him up. The high light of the night was the food. Best fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans ever. The wife got the hot beef mashed potatoes and green beans and was very pleased with it as well. Well surly make this a go to place in the future. Thanks
We were there for breakfast, it was really good and served hot. The sweet cream pancakes with Carmel sauce is yummy. The home made sausage is really good.
Their fried chicken and sausage stir fry on the buffet were very good. They make their coleslaw with malt vinegar, which I really liked. They also had a cherry jello with cherries in it that I put over the waffle. Definitely a fun meal where everything is clearly homemade. Definitely want to come back to try more. Waitress was also very friendly, helpful, and explained future specials. They have bierocks on Thursdays. Going to have to get in on that also!
We had a great experience! The waitress was kind and attentive, and the food tasted great. The portions you get for the price are more than fair, I highly recommend this amazing place.
On my way back home to Herington I stopped in and had "The ULTIMATE Chicken Sandwich" (hand breaded, deep fried topped w/ thinly sliced ham & swiss) and it's one of the best Chicken Sandwiches I've ever had in all my travels. Will definitely call this a destination restaurant.
