A place to relax eating a good sandwich with your favorite beverage. Place looks like an old gas station. When we get inside, I had the feeling of being in a supermarket. So I felt a little lost, so I started browsing for the food. People behind the counter, kindly said hello and gave us a paper menu, the menu has space to check what you want to order. The counter was a glass fridge with delicious deserts and cheeses inside, everything looked fresh. After we order our food, they told us to take a look around the shelves and choose our favorite beverage or chips and pay all together in the cashier. The variety of beverages is huge, if you need assistance or have doubts staff is around to help. Inside there are only two tables. But outside there are plenty, you can pick your favorite spot. And in a reasonable time they bring your food. Because the evening was a little chilly we tried the hot sandwiches: Uncle Fill and Betty White. Both of them very different even breads were different but so good. We also tried the Gulf Salad, it was fresh and it came with a citric dressing. Music was not loud which made it possible to talk and enjoy the evening. I think a little more illumination, maybe a string of lights around, would make the place even more appealing.

Good food and casual atmosphere. I was expecting it to be the old Bodega, but it seems they changed names to Big Backs while still having the Bodega signage.

Bodega is the bar sharing the building with Big Backz, the kitchen. We had lunch and the food was delicious. The portions were very generous and the price fair. We sat outside in with our dogs. There is also a play area for families with kids. Any time I want chicken wings in Lake Jackson, Big Backz is where we will go.

5 stars! Excellent, friendly service & very educated on everything beer too! I had a Betty White & the hubs had a Ryan hot sandwich. The Wagyu meatballs were insanely delicious! I tried the Mango Salty Lady beer & was pleasantly surprised. (I'm not a beer drinker!) Don't miss this fantastic, locally owned place!

We came into town for work and stopped at this little place for dinner . I had the street tacos and they were really good. Then it just so happened that they were starting karaoke in the outdoor seating area so we stayed a while . Service was good, food was great and the KJ and bartender made the karaoke fun! Karaoke is Monday nights at 8. Go check them out!

I had always passed by the place and wanting to enter and even, I had stopped once and did not enter because I was with my dog and he was uncomfortable. But today I went in and it really is a place that every person, even if you are visiting Lake Jackson, must visit. It is a place that any Puerto Rican would love to have nearby. It is like chinchorreo on the island. They have a variety of sandwiches, wines, beers, and craft beers. The splendid music! It has tables inside and outside, but for a better enjoyment I recommend the outside. It has parking lots, and what can I complain about? not at all. I don't know why I hadn't entered before. Thank you Jonathan for your excellent service, you make the place one of the best I have visited in the area, I would say that it is among the first. He recommended the craft beer 90 Minutes ... I loved it and see that I am very selective in what I drink. It has a rich flavor, nobes strong in its flavor, a bit maltish, light to ingest, but believe me, it has 9% alcohol and it does its effect. I recommend the place 300%. Go with your Friends and enjoy the place.

Love the relaxed atmosphere of this place and the awesome selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices. Staff is always super friendly and helpful when I stop in, and they have a great outdoor patio if you just want to relax and have a beer without all of the formalities of a restaurant. The creme brûlée is pretty delicious.

Our first time in since they reopened and wow! The interior is spacious and leans in to the history of the building. The food was great. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and a very generous sandwich. My partner loved his burger as well. The service was very good. We sat at the bar, and the bartender graciously made me a cranberry and soda when I didn't want a standard non-alcoholic drink. (Hubby did a draft Shiner. They also have a variety of cocktails.) We'll definitely be back
