Always a great meal at very reasonable prices. In my opinion, some of the best onion rings, too! 01/06/26, had lunch today and those onion rings were so good!!!
Went around noonish Saturday. Steady flow. Greeted nicely, our first visit so young lady answered my questions. We got the Chili Cheese if you please. 2 hot dogs, chili cheese fries and a drink $7.49 before tax. This was perfect for us, my husband and I. Hot dog comes with chili, onions, mustard. I added ketchup, cheese, and slaw. Young lady brought it to us promptly. Very delicious.
Food was fresh, hot and prepared quickly. Very nice menu including ice cream and milkshakes. We will be back!
What a surprise!! I am not one to try small diners, but I am so glad I did. The food was fantastic. I ordered the hot dog with chili, mustard, onions. The hot dog and chili was not the most appetizing, but let me tell you...it was absolutely amazing!! The chili had a slight spice to it. Truly, the best hotdog I have had. The onion rings were good too. 2 people in our group had the hamburger steak and mashed potatoes. They said their meal was amazing too. 5 of us ate for 57.00; very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
The chili dog here is the best I have found in a long time. The bun is steamed and soft, high quality dog and chili has a nice peppery taste. So good.
So here's the deal -- my wife and I had a random hot dog craving (which almost never happens), and we figured we'd go to the spot we knew in Spartanburg. But that drive? A bit much for a quick bite. But I told her what a coincidence I seen a Boots' when I went to the lawn mower shop! Bless that mower, because now we've got a new go-to spot. Let's talk food: My wife had the fish and shrimp -- fresh like it swam here. I got the Boots' Burger with onion rings that crunched louder than the fans in the dining room (which, by the way, were working overtime. Not sure if it was the AC or a tribute to NASCAR, but it was breezy in there). The vibe is pure old-school diner meets car guy dream garage. Clean, cool, and loaded with personality. We told the staff it was our first time and they couldn't have been nicer. Friendly, helpful, and you could tell they actually liked being there. Rare these days. We've been to the Spartanburg location -- and it's good -- but this one hit different. Could've been the food, the time of day, or maybe those crispy onion rings had me seeing stars. Either way, we're coming back.
I'll give them a four stars because my wife loves their hot dogs. I personally would pass on pretty much everything on the menu. I will say the macaroni and the fried okra were good but other than that I haven't had too many good experiences
Food was ok. Service was good...just order at cash register and get a number. They bring food to you. Shrimp were a good size and Flounder was good. I will ask the next time for flounder to be cooked a bit longer. The meat was too soft.
