Carriage House Arcata Restaurant

While not designed for kids, the staff was very gracious about our kids coming in with us. Everything we ordered was great. We had multiple appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The ribs and chicken were top hits. I would also recommend a couple cocktails, the couple we ordered were top notch.

WOW. We just had dinner at the Carriage House in Sunny Brae. I had the cordon Bleu pasta and he had the Braised Short Ribs. We shared the calamari & I had a cucumber margarita. Everything was fantastic! Service, drinks, food -  excellent! We will be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We absolutely love The Carriage House! This little Sunny Brae jewel is elegant, chic, and wonderfully welcoming. It’s such a nice addition to the neighborhood, and we really enjoy the warm, stylish atmosphere every time we go. The menu is a bit of a mishmash of different styles, and we do find ourselves wishing it were just a little more adventurous, but everything we’ve tried has been solid. The short ribs with mashed potatoes are definitely our favorite. Our kids enjoyed their pasta, and my husband really liked his Philly cheesesteak. We haven’t tried the pizzas yet, but plan to next time. The service is friendly, though we’d love to see it feel a touch more polished to match the elegance of the space. They have a cute patio that isn’t open yet — we’re really looking forward to that eventually opening because it will add even more charm. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with great potential, and we’ll definitely keep coming back to see how it grows!

I had the most amazing valentines date last night at carriage house. The server Jazmine was so exceptional. I appreciated the care of service to my table and also I had the best drinks. I think they should be sought after for a good date night! I really enjoyed my experience even for a small restaurant they gave me a surprise for my time.

Tapas style menu. Drinks are phenomenal. Missing a few ingredients due to soft opening. Everything was great! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Went in for happy hour and dinner. The old fashions were delicious along with everything else. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, great service and the food did not disappoint. My only complaint was they forgot to put the chèvre cheese on my salad.

Had an amazing meal here while staying in Arcata to visit the redwoods. They had a great vegetarian option and the chicken dish was some of the best chicken I've ever had in a restaurant! The atmosphere was perfect and the service was excellent. If you're looking for a romantic fine dining experience in this area, don't hesitate to go here!
