It was busy when we arrived but we had a great time. We left with no prizes as the prize room ticket amounts seemed insanely expensive for what you get. Most games were available and all were in working order Hand sanitizer was filled in all stations when we wanted to use some. We checked in on the football game as we played in the arcade. The restrooms were well kepted and clean.
As of today, I am a huge fan of Dave & Buster's Happy Valley! I've noticed that Dave & Buster's has been growing so fast across the Northwest, and I finally got the chance to visit the Happy Valley location. To be honest, it is quite a drive from Portland to Happy Valley so I was initially hestitate to go that far. But the experience was definitely worth it! Much more than I thought! The variety of games available in Happy Valley location is outstanding and kept me and my friends entertained during our time there. In my opinion, this Happy Valley location is the best one I have visited so far. It is much bigger than other locations I have been to, thus, there are many more games to enjoy. The staff here are super friendly, and the food was also good. If you are a big gamer, I recommend taking advantage of their promotions to get more credits so you can play more games. They always seem to offer some sort of promotions to make us spend more money. I personally didn't mind spending a bit more for more playtime.
My daughter and I (24 & 51) had so much fun playing games (spent $35). We used 1 card and played many fun games. After a couple hours laughing and playing we ate at a booth in the bar. We had an EXCELLENT server, he was so efficient, friendly and kept the fun going. There were too many choices to eat so we shared a large sampler platter with a handful of different items. The prices are very reasonable for the amount you get. I will DEFINITELY be back & I hope I get the same server.
Liz and Travis are AWESOME bartenders! They made me the prettiest million dollar margarita and are so fun to chat with!
Experience was good. My only qualm is that I paid $80 for the 500 chips power card, and was not offered the “eat and play combo”. My lady and I went over to have some food when we were hungry, and noticed that for just a few dollars more we could have gotten some of that killer food. Instead, it was not offered to us, and we had to pay full price for the food. From a managerial standpoint, it seems odd that it is not standard practice to offer the deal to customers. I’m not complaining, but it would have been nice to know that was an option? I know how important these surveys are so I left 5 stars, but I believe the staff needs a bit more training in offering products and services to customers.
This review is mostly informational. We went to have fun, and we did! We purchased the new eat & unlimited game play package for 90 minutes. It was definitely worth it, but I worn - DON'T wear a sweater! I was wearing a very thin sweater and was sweating. We were all hot and sweaty (from physical activity, not the temp.) The package deal had to be purchased in the dining room with our server during our meal, so not sure if you can play before you eat, which was our original plan, but everyone was hungry when we arrived, so we ended up eating first. My son said his D&B hamburger was bland and boring; he wasn't impressed. My ribs were great. No one else in the party commented about their food one way or the other. They had a variety of drinks at the bar. Another warning - if you select the auto tipping percentages on their checkout device, the tip amount includes the play part of your pass, not just the food. I asked the waitress if the tip was just for the food, and she confirmed the food was separate from the play pass, so the tip should only include the food. However, a quick calculation discovered it was not separate. So, instead of being charged a tip for just say a $20 hamburger and fries (have to guess as there are no prices on the menu), it charges the tip on the entire eat & play amount of $60. When I informed her, she asked if I wanted an itemized statement, but I told her I'd pay a tip based on $20 per person (everyone had the cheaper menu items except me - I upgraded to ribs), including one who didn't eat or play since they were taking space and air, plus beverages and a little more for good measure. I really did not want to short tip her; she was very nice. Our passes were only good for a max of 1500 prize tickets, which all of us managed to collect. I thought we could combine them and let the birthday boy get a special prize, but they won't let you "stack" them and everyone agreed the prizes for 1500 and less tix were lame, so no one redeemed their tickets. It was no big deal. Overall, we had a lot of fun and would do it again. $60 for food and an hour and a half of games - totally worth it.
Omg this place is a must go to on Tuesdays. At 7 pm they have trivia and if you come in 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd place you get a Dave and Busters game card. It's way fun and its all free! This is what my boyfriend and I do for our date nights because since the trivia is free we can afford to just buy an appetizer and split a meal. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The selection of games was impressive and made for a fun, engaging experience. It is a solid spot for families or groups who want to combine dining with entertainment. However, the service was disappointing. After we finished eating, we had to search for someone just to get boxes for our leftovers. Later, when the kids were playing games and needed water, it was nearly impossible to get help. Staff seemed either overwhelmed or inattentive, which took away from what could have been a smooth and enjoyable visit.
