El Botanero By 100% Am

O.m.g. that's all can say. Being from Ohio, authentic Mexican food is hard to find. This is authentic with a modern twist. Menu is in Spanish, however...get the mojito...get the elote...and ask the server for his favorite dish. I had steak tacos with avocado and pickled onions. The seasoning was on point and unlike anything I've had before. No salsa needed. Perfecto.

Customer service was outstanding our waiter Carlos was awesome. The food was amazing our first time there was a delight. Me and my daughter are excited about going back again. We just moved to McAllen and this our number restaurant so far. 10 out 10

The food was generally good, though a bit too salty—even the refried beans at the start. For the price, some improvements are needed: the roasted corn could use better presentation, and the ribeye in aguachile was served well done without asking for the preferred doneness. The aguachile itself was overpowered by soy sauce, losing its balance. Service was okay in the end—thanks for the attention. With a few adjustments, the experience could match the pricing better.

We came on a Monday at 4 pm they had an amazing happy hour menu, but music was extremely low. We kept asking the manager to raise the music volume, and would raise it for a bit then lower it. We asked like 3-4 times and kept doing the same thing. We even asked why they had the volume so low and they said cuz it was slow. Over all everything was great but music is a big thing in a business so I would ask the business owners to look into this. Business could possibly be better but the floor ain’t being runned correctly.

This place has everything! Saw this place advertised on instagram and decided to give them a try. From the moment we walked in, the staff was amazing. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Although that’s not what we were there for, this place would be great for watching a game or 3 or 9. But although they have many big screen tvs, it was not over powering and we were able to still have a conversation. We should have given the menu a look over before coming because it’s pretty expansive. While we were trying to decide, we were served some chips and salsas and a pozole that really hit the spot. The black salsa was unique and delicious. We finally decided on elotes, queso fundido, tacos al pastor, and tacos de ribeye. The elotes were great and both sets of tacos were equally delicious. The only miss was the queso. The flavor was good but the iron skillet was small and so hot that the whole bottom got burned by the time we got to the third taco. We will definitely have to return a couple of more times to try the rest of the menu.

Great service, first time here at this establishment. The atmosphere was great, our table and surroundings was very clean and the food was DELICIOUS. I ate like 8 tacos… definitely will be visiting again soon

Cesar, the waitstaff, and the Management team @ El Botanero have hosted our Niner watch parties on several occasions this year and last year even last minute when we had a venue change they didn’t hesistate to accommodate us. The food is great no matter which food you try not mention their desserts are excellent. Customer service is Outstanding as well. Great place to hold a private event or just simply have lunch or dinner. Highly recommended

Service was excellent staff very attentive. had my daughters last minute birthday here and they accomadated us in minutes. Food was exceptional and very flavorful. Cucumbers martini recommended 100%.
