A hidden gem that sits aside Chase Avenues busiest end. It's easy to miss its location, as thier sign is crowded among many others in the area. But if you are looking for true and traditional Mexican food, be sure to walk in or take out sometime soon! I stopped in one afternoon looking for something different as per usual on that strip. And I was in for a treat! They were really friendly and accommodating. I personally recommend the tacos. They are fresh, everything is cooked as it should be, great portions, and they don't mind customizing if they can (Shrimp Taco fan here) For a small up-charge. I highly recommend this place, as it's one of the better Mexican spots on this side of Waterbury!
The Cubana is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Their home made hot sauce is amazing they need to bottle it and sell it!
Come here alot , food is really good. Owners are great people
The owner was so kind and made us churros fresh and they are so crispy and delicious. It's a nice cozy break from the chaos of waterbury. Possibly my new favorite Mexican bakery, but I'll have to try more and see. The prices are good and I will definitely be coming back
Excellent little hole in the wall, we each had a torta, it was like an entire brunch on a sandwich, incredibly filling. The staff was really nice and friendly. It has a charming homemade interior. It’s quickly become one of our go to places in Waterbury.
Got the birria and slow cooked beef tacos both were really good. The large jamaican aguas frescas was HUGE and really good too. Ingredients taste fresh especially the slow cooked beef you can tell it’s not processed meat definitely coming back
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute hidden gem! My family and I had the most incredible dining experience here. The Pollo de la Mexicana is beyond exceptional – bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Tres Leches cake was pure bliss, moist and decadent. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the friendly staff, made our visit unforgettable. This place is a culinary treasure, and we can’t wait to return! Highly, highly recommend!
This might be my first review ever left on google. This place is absolutely amazing. The food is better than any Mexican food I’ve had. This place puts restaurants/chains to shame. Feels like an authentic family owned spot, foods always super fresh and tasty. The owners are really kind. The pork tacos and birria are 10/10, the Tortas are beyond delicious.
