Wow! Can’t say enough nice things about our experience. From the hospitality to the ambience to the food, everything was top-notch. Prices are super affordable and everything is beyond impeccable! James, the general manager is such a sweetheart and even gave us a tour. Definitely come check out this place. They also have great specials throughout the week! Thank you guys for everything. We will be back again soon!

Saw some really good reviews so we tried out Governors House. Had a 5pm reservation and was able to find parking in the small parking lot. Security guard escorted us to the back entrance. Checked in with hostess and she seated us right away. We had 4 adults and they sat us at a very small high top table so the table was quite crowded by the time we ordered drinks. No worries, we always figure it out. Had a couple of Old Fashioneds (Four Roses Small Batch) and they were very good. Bartender was very knowledgeable about bourbpn and even pointed out some very old bottles. Lets just saybhe was a walking bourbon enclopedia. Thanks for sharing all the stories. Ordered a basket of Table Bread which was a loaf of bread with pesto butter which tasted very good, not sure it was worth the price but we were all starving. Appetizer was the Ravioli Duo and we chose the Wagu Beef and Black Truffle along with the Wild Mushroom. When I chose these I thought the truffle would be the highlight but was very wrong. Tried the black truffle first and it was good but could we could not taste any truffle flavor, overall it was very good. Next we tried the Wild Mushroom and it was very tasty and was the winner of the two. Next was the Cacio e Pepe which was good. Shrimp Short Rib Four Cheese Totellini w/demi Alfredo came in a close 2nd to the Wild Mushroom Rav. This dish was very flavorful and kept you coming back for more. Next time we visit we will ask for a little larger table, other than that we had a great experience. Server was pleasantly and took good care of our crazy group. We will definitely be back to try some new things.

We had a great experience at Governors House. They have a great selection on their menu, and their specials were also fabulous. We had the Fig Flatbread, the Filet & Carbonara - all were delectable! Honorable mention for the pesto butter that comes with the table bread, could've eaten that on everything! A great selection of wines and cocktails, and the outdoor vibe was great. Service was top notch, the general manager touching all the tables and checking the food before it went out. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will have plenty more in the future.

It was our first time here and we loved it. During dinner we seriously were already planning our second trip back. The food was 10/10, but our waiter Chris was 1000/10. He was so helpful, kind, and even brought us a free dessert!!!!!!!!!!

Hidden gem in downtown Covington! The atmosphere along with the service only adds to the experience! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan and the Fettuccine Alfredo. If you like authentic Italian, you’ve gotta try the Governors House!

It was my first experience here. Our server Chris was amazing! We had the Chicken Parm (I have never had chick parm that good) as well as the Short Rib (so tender and tasty). We also had an appetizer of Waygu Beef Ravioli in a Truffle oil sauce (mouth watering good). The atmosphere was great and the rest of the staff were also super hospitable. The owner came and talked to us with a wealth of knowledge and a heart to serve. Well done!

A very nice restaurant with a great wine selection. I had spaghetti and meatballs, several wines, a cocktail, and the tiramisu. Food was good but nothing jumped out at me. Some very nice wines by the glass, and a lot by the bottle. Service was stellar, location (with the outdoor seating as well) is fabulous, and the ambiance is so enjoyable. I'll come here again next time I'm in town.

Love the vibe here, very intimate and cool. Took my daughter for a mother-daughter date and we both got the salmon. Omg, it was perfection. It was so good that we WOLFED it down like beings who have no manners, but it was JUST THAT GOOD. Our waiter was congenial and times his arrivals perfectly, so we never had to answer a question while chewing (which we appreciated!) I got the BlackBerry conversation and she got the BlackBerry moctail and both were incredibly delicious. We also added the Alfredo Mac and the risotto, but we ended up taking those home because we are every single bite of our salmon dishes. My only note is the bread should have been warm enough for the butter to melt because sitting the cold burger on it was annoying. Or maybe just soften the butter. Everything else was 5 stars.
