My coworker took me here for lunch. So glad he did. The staff was wonderful and it was a good little lunch spot. They had a menu but I chose off the daily lunch special. Baked chicken. It was all very good I finished it. The only thing would be limited seating during lunch even though it seemed enough for the time I came. There was a good line of people and alot of them picked up and left. The AC seemed to be having issues so they had portable units and they look to be in for some time now but it's OK at least they are trying. It was a bit warm in there but bearable. They have can drinks or fountain.
This is the only soul food establishment in Ascension Parish (Louisiana), to my knowledge. The food is great, especially the lasagna, and the customer service is awesome. I definitely recommend that you check this place out if you’re looking for a home cooked meal.
Hands down the BEST turkey wing and corn bread combo I’ve had in Baton Rouge! Those ladies know what they’re doing! Very good pricing too!
The food is food and every time I call they are very nice.
Everything was Very Good.. I enjoyed It and I will be making my next visit Rules And Money Baby ....
This is a restaurant that I enjoy more and more each time I visit there. I mainly get it to go. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service at this place. Great plate lunches with home-style dishes cooked the way it’s supposed to be done. If you’re looking for food the way you had it as a kid, this place is perfect. Smothered pork chops or chicken that won’t disappoint. These ladies know how to cook!
It was just what I needed, it was as close to home cooking as it gets. The baked chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Oh how I love cheesy and creamy spaghetti and cheese, that's macaroni and cheese for non-Louisiana palates. What's best is it is chicken as grown, not the steroid pumped chicken.
Awesome place..southern comfort food at its finest. Could eat my weight in candied yams..if you scoop them up with bread it tastes like homemade pie. Double bacon burger was rolling..bacon was very crispy. Lasagne gets 5 stars, bit of a sweetness to the sauce which I love, needed a little bit more meat. Spinach was delicious, no dirt flavor whatsoever. Rice and gravy was ok. The rice was a bit mushy. Meatloaf was good, not my favorite. Eveything was served hot. Free drink refills with dine in
