Had lunch here with my mom. The fried fish sandwich was excellent but it seemed to be under fried because the fish (assume it was cod) fell apart as soon as you looked at it. But it didn’t keep it from tasting good and the salad was excellent. My mom had the waffle and it was very good. Solid and consistent place for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend!
A friend recommended Grumpy’s for breakfast. We went for Sunday brunch. Off season on Cape Cod and the place was packed, but our party of two got a table immediately. I really like the rustic interior. I don’t remember our server’s name but he was excellent. The service is definitely casual, which totally fits the place. Very extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. I wish this place was closer to home. My friend got ham and eggs and said it was very good. My normal is eggs Benedict…they have many iterations there of (seafood, spinach, hash, linguica, and meatloaf),but I decided to be a wild man and got the Stuffed Potato. OMG I am so glad I got it. It was huge and I couldn’t finish it. Plus a side of delicious baked beans. The huge half a potato was stuffed with corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, and topped with about a quart of hollandaise. I hope we make the time to go back.
We came here on Memorial Day for lunch. We walked in and were seated promptly at the counter. The interior is what you'd expect from a fisherman themed diner and is a fun vibe. The clam chowder was excellent and my Reuben with pasta salad hit the spot! The cornbread raspberry muffin was a great finish to the meal. Worth a try if you're in the area!
Nice selection of items on menu. Waiter knew one of the patrons, said, " I know what YOU want" Served quickly. . Good coffee in a MUG-bought one for my collection. Open bfst and lunch. Busy place-go early!
First time at Grumpy's and we had a great time. Had the scramble with linguica, amazing! And the quiche with tomato bacon and cheese, fantastic. And blueberry pancakes, perfect. Bonus, we sat outside and saw a stoat!
Love this old-school breakfast/lunch spot in Dennis. Great coffee, good food, pleasant company. Libby at the bar is a sweetheart. Highly recommend
Have been there a few times now, always delicious. We got breakfast food each time but there is also lunch available. Always great service and food, I would highly recommend it!
Cool place -- great atmosphere. Easy to relax and just enjoy some hearty breakfast food. I'd stick with the savory stuff. The hash Benedict was particularly fulfilling (the hash itself was amazing, though, if I'm going to be real picky, the hollandaise sauce was a bit split, which isn't ideal). The baked beans were also delicious, and, as a bonus, the view from the parking lot was peaceful. Overall, definitely worth the visit.
