Gustav Kitchen & Bar

This was a top notch experience from start to end. The warm sourdough and butter were delightful. All of the textures and flavors in the sea bass dish made for complex profile and we inhaled every bite. We had a hard time deciding between the dessert options but absolutely recommend Grandma's orange sponge cake. The service was exceptional and Cosmin made delicious wine recommendations. This was the perfect indulgent dinner for our last night in town.

Restaurant Gustav in Rovaniemi has a great central location and a focused menu, which is a good thing. The food was delicious, well prepared, and nicely presented. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The only downside was the bathrooms, which need more attention and better upkeep. Overall, a very good dining experience with room for improvement on the facilities. Portions of the kids menu are very small. It is must to make a reservation!

Vitello tonnato (€22) - Good. Striploin a la Gustav (€34) - Good texture and tender yet with some bite. Gustav’s hot glogi (€14) - Not bad.

Great experience dining at the Gustav. Totally worth it. The food quantities could be more Tapa style but still a great recommendation. Please reserve prior to going since it is pretty busy.

Excellent service. You would not wish to be hungry, if you came for dinner as you would need to have a second dinner elsewhere. The food was good, but in my opinion too many different tastes fought against each other. Keep it simple and make the portions much bigger. It felt like being in tasting course.

Amazing place, the food was so delicious! We had the sea bass and it was one of the best meals we‘ve had in Lappland. The portions are a bit small, but we would definitely come back

We had a really nice evening at Gustav, a restaurant with a warm and elegant atmosphere. The décor is tasteful, the lighting is comfortable, and overall the place feels inviting without trying too hard. The service was one of the highlights. Ionela, who looked after our table, was very friendly and helpful. She explained each dish clearly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was good and met our expectations. The eggplant with tomato chutney was a pleasant surprise — simple, but very flavorful and well prepared. The truffle pasta was also a nice choice, more enjoyable than we anticipated, with a good balance of aroma and texture. As for the dessert, the photo really speaks for itself — a sweet finish to a relaxed and pleasant dinner. Gustav is a solid option for a nice evening out, with good food, a comfortable atmosphere, and attentive service. A place worth trying.
