Pretty good food for where it is. Not what I’d consider “top shelf” BBQ, but after a long day out in Jeeps it definitely hit the spot. The ribs were pretty good (4/5), the bread was awesome, mashed potatoes were good (4/5), but the baked beans were way too thick and sticky (1/5). The free cup of ice cream was a nice surprise.

You would be surprised at how great the food was Way up in the mountains No big town around But it had a great atmosphere of the people were friendly We will go back. BBQ was very good I had the pulled pork Plate With coleslaw and baked beans And we have fried dill pickles for an appetizer

Delicious pile of rib tips, and some of the most perfectly cooked fries I've ever had. The potato salad was good, but it was mustard based, so keep that in mind. Ribs came out just rubbed, with no sauce, but 2 styles of sauce were on the table to get them all wetted up and awesome. Out of the way, and off the beaten path, but if you're in the area it's worth a stop.

We stopped into Hillbilly Slims after hiking. A friend recommended that we should go there. Our food was really good. When I order nachos somewhere, my goal is to dominate them. I ordered the brisket nachos and they were the best thing I’ve put in my mouth in a long time. So much cheese and delicious brisket. I didn’t totally dominate them cuz I really wanted my husband to try them. He ordered an angus burger. He said it was good but would’ve been better if it was warm. I’m pretty sure we were the first table our server EVER waited on. It was a clear she was new and I want to give her grace. The problems with the temp of my husband’s burger is because she placed the order wrong and it had to be corrected, though. The atmosphere is a little rough. I understand they are rebuilding after a fire. The lights were out part of the time we were there. If we are that way again. We will for sure go back. The food was good and the people were friendly!

Great environment. Everyone is so friendly. Food is great, great ribeye steak. Anything smoked is on point. The brisket had a nice bark on it. I'll definitely be back, try some big shrimp next!

Wife I decided to stop in and try it while driving in the Ozark’s, we are very glad we did. I had the pulled pork which was excellent!, my wife had the ribs and she says they are best she has ever had. The place was clean the staff friendly and the service excellent. The owner, Doc, was very friendly and explained had he came to open the place and his plans for a stage plus live music once we get past the virus. Doc even hooked us up with a free dessert after lunch (picture below). The menus is huge and has way more than just BBQ so it probably has something for everyone in your party, we will be back for sure.

Their shrimp stuffed with jalapeno and cheese were really good. Go for the pull pork loaded baked potato. You won’t be disappointed.
