This place has great food, great views and a great staff. The catfish and steaks are great. We haven't had a bad meal here. This is our third time here this week. The best part was having Desiree as our server. Make sure to ask to sit in her section. She was amazing to have as a server all three times we were here. The salad bar in canoe was so much fun.
The catfish was hot and delicious. Portions are big so be warned, the Hungry Fisherman Plate is enough for 2 or more people. The hush puppies that came with the dinner were fantastic and a huge portion, and the fried okra was right on target. Service was great, and friendly. Overall a great experience. Very good. Excellent cat fish. All of it was made just right, waitress was great. Her recommendations were spot on. The pie was the a great finish.
Stopped in after an all morning road trip checking out all the fall colors. Got here right at the end of lunch special. Wife got the two-piece. I got the three piece. Very good. Highly recommend it. The hush puppies are great also. :) The service was good. Atmosphere is great overlooking the river.
Absolutely fell in love with this place. So nostalgic for my Parents so I bought Mom back. Beautiful view of the lake.
The term "come hungry and leave miserable" lives up to its name here. We feel we got more food than what we ordered. What a bonus! A wife and I ordered the same catfish plate but in different configurations. You can split it between fried and baked. All that was awesome. The shrimp on skewers was amazing. I did find it a bit curious as to why they have their seafood from Mississippi. At least it wasn't imported. We got the coconut cream fried pie and the peanut butter pie. Both were homemade and you can tell. Absolutely fabulous. Must have!!
We loved sitting and looking out at the river while eating here. We both got the catfish with the salad bar. They also give you a basket of fried hush puppies as well! Food was good and prices are very reasonable and we left full!
My wife & I have been dining here for decades anytime that we are in the area. The setting is beautiful in the midst of mountains on the shore of the White River. The catfish is always fried to perfection and the hush puppies are among the best anywhere. Highly recommended!
