A wonderful breakfast experience. Historic building right on the ocean but elevated so you are not in the sand. Wi-Fi was about 30/15. The tables were slightly high for the seats. Delicious breakfast entrees and complimentary fresh gourmet bread. Best place in town.

The best ambiance there is. Nothing beats sitting outside, listening to the waves, looking out at the ocean and seeing whales, eating delicious food, listening to the birds sing. All the food is incredible but i have to specifically call out the torta Chacalosa which might just be the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Love so many things about this place from the ceramics they serve the food in to the fact that most of the aguas are not too sweet and can be ordered without sugar. The go to spot whenever I am in Chacala!

A lovely little getaway near a relatively unknown cove town, Chácala. The restaurant is built in the old armory and they are proud of their homemade sourdoughs. There could be a long wait during brunch time but it’s worth it for the good foods.

LaLaxtli is pure magic. We hosted our rehearsal dinner here with 33 guests, and it was truly unforgettable. The setting is absolutely dreamy — an old armory transformed into a whimsical fairytale courtyard, complete with lush greenery, twinkling string lights, and flowing canopies. It feels like dining in a tropical jungle paradise — intimate, enchanting, and totally unique. The service was impeccable. Edgar and Esther have created something incredibly special here — more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and their warmth and professionalism made us feel so welcome and cared for. And if that wasn’t enough, they also catered our wedding dinner at our offsite venue — and once again, it was perfect. Everything Esther suggested was spot on. From the flavors to the presentation to the flow of the evening, she really knows how to plan and deliver. It was seamless, delicious, and beautifully done. Thank you, Edgar and Esther, for going above and beyond to make both of our wedding events so memorable. We’re so grateful for your talent, heart, and hospitality.

We went for breakfast here both days in Chacala. They have the best breads and give you a little sample basket of a few of them with jam, butter and salsa while you wait for your food. Delicious! Lovely view, sit under the umbrellas, the trees do drop little pieces. Good portions and wonderful service. The cinnamon roll fresh out of the oven was my favorite.

The food is delish! The service is okay, we waited a long time for water and had to ask 3x till we got it, but otherwise fine. The location and resturant are very cool, only thing that knocked it down to 4 stars was the swarm of bees that attacked our salads when the food arrived! We literally had to make an offering of greens on the far side of the table to keep them away lol. So far though, best food on shore.

The spot is beautiful, nestled in vegetation and by the ocean. We had to wait a long time to share a table with someone. We had to wait another 45 min to have some food on our plate. I was expecting something really tasty and amazing considering the reviews but my avocado toast and my husband's burger were a bit disappointing. The food is fresh though and the bread is home made . Service is slow and not really attentive.
