We made a reservation in advance, which turned out to be essential. Even though we arrived on time, we were asked to wait a couple of minutes while they confirmed a table was available, so I would definitely recommend booking ahead. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service overall was good. What really stood out to me, though, was the atmosphere. There are outdoor tables overlooking the Louvre courtyard, which is great if you enjoy the open air and the buzz of people, but it felt a bit crowded for my taste. We chose to sit inside, and that’s where the magic was. The interior has a very authentic French feel with dark red walls, golden detailing, large chandeliers, cherrywood tables, and an old marble fireplace. It felt elegant, warm, and truly charming. For dessert, I ordered an apple pie expecting the usual thick crust with a small apple filling. Instead, I got the Parisian version and absolutely fell in love with it. It was a delicate disc of sweet puff pastry topped with thin slices of apple, served with a small scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. Light, elegant, and delicious. I would definitely recommend it.

Exceptional Service at Café Marly, Paris Cheick provided truly outstanding service at Café Marly in Paris. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, professional, and effortlessly elegant. His knowledge of the menu, perfect recommendations, and impeccable timing made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Cheick’s warm attitude and attention to every detail elevated the experience, perfectly matching the refined atmosphere of Café Marly overlooking the Louvre. He made us feel genuinely welcomed and ensured everything was flawless from start to finish. An exceptional example of Parisian hospitality. Highly recommend asking for Cheick when visiting Café Marly.

Pleasantly surprised by this cafe! As you can imagine it is a very touristic spot and I did not expect much from the food quality or service. However, I had a great experience! Our waiter was very nice, the food came fast and it was good, especially the chicken curry and the famous Pavlova was amazing as well (not overrated at all!). The view is stunning and I definitely recommend going here at least once.

We had the pleasure of having dinner here during sunset, with an absolutely incredible view of the Louvre.. truly a stunning setting. The food was lovely and the drinks were great. However we did experience some difficulty ordering drinks, as the staff didn’t always seem to notice us. Aside from that, it was a lovely experience overall, and the view alone makes it worth visiting, especially at dusk.

Jonathan (Joe) was the most amazing server. The food and drinks were excellent and all the suggestions were on point. Passion fruit mojitos were delicious and the wine was good too!. They were extremely flexible with us as we were a group of 7 who had just travelled there from London and were related due to our train. They were able to push our reservation back with no issue and still seated us. The sea bass was great, the seasonal soup (pumpkin) was amazing, and they had a good vegan option as well. We will definitely be back. The view and the atmosphere was everything we could wish for! Really loved it here.

A fancy cafe with amazing view of the Louvre pyramid . Food was ok but could do with more vegetarian options. We went as a family about 1pm. Book ahead to make sure you can sit outside on the website. We ordered the soup of the day (pumpkin), a croque monsuier without the ham, the spinach lasagne and the spicy tomato riggatoni. Thw food was decent with good flavours and lots of cheese! Soup was flavourful and sweet with a nice spicy warmth. The riggatoni was probably the best with a rich tomato flavour. The spinach lasagne was nice but loaded with cheese. The monsuier looked impressive and tasted fair. It is a shame there are limited vegetarian and no halal options which limited us. They ran out of eggs which was a real disappointment. Service was decent. The toilets are interesting as up 3 sets of stairs. The view however is amazing and worth a trip if only for a coffee and dessert (which looked impressive). Amex friendly.

The service was excellent – truly attentive and professional. Make sure to book in advance, otherwise it’s almost impossible to get a table. The food was delicious, the atmosphere elegant, and even after 8 years I felt the same emotions coming back. For the best photos: either from the outside alley or upstairs near the window when you go towards the restroom – absolutely stunning views of the Louvre!

Overall, the experience was nice. The café itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food we ordered was very good. I would also like to thank the manager/supervisor for the warm and respectful welcome. However, our experience was negatively affected by the receptionist. Her attitude was unprofessional, she did not smile, and she was not accommodating at all. We had a reservation made a month in advance, clearly requesting a first-row table by the glass. She refused to seat us there because we were four people, saying it was not allowed. We then offered to split ourselves into two tables (2 people per table), but she still refused without providing a reasonable explanation, and her tone was very unpleasant. The experience could have been great, but unfortunately, I would not repeat it due to the poor reception service. I also would not recommend relying on reservations, as they do not seem to be properly honored. They said it’s a rule not to seat 4 people first row , but tbh i don’t see this rule in the website while booking. Reception ( Alona or Aluna ) Manager ( Pierre )
