The Reuben at Martinelli’s Market sets the bar. House-roasted Angus beef brisket arrives tender, juicy, and generously stacked, layered with Grand Cru Alpine Swiss, sauerkraut, and a house-made Russian dressing that ties everything together. Served on their rye, the sandwich is rich yet balanced, showcasing the quality and care behind every ingredient. Quite simply, the top sandwich in Champaign.

I stopped by Martinelli’s Market for breakfast and everything I tried was great. I had a breakfast sandwich that was absolutely delicious, and the breakfast burrito was just as tasty. For the quality of food, the price is honestly hard to beat. I also tried the coconut flaky donut and it was insanely good—crispy, rich, and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about using fresh, local ingredients, which adds a lot to the experience. The outdoor seating is beautiful and makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your meal. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I enjoyed lunch with a friend and today had the breakfast burrito which was phenomenal. I have also had the pistrami and really enjoyed that! My friend loved her food too. The atmosphere is very fun and unique- my friend compared it to Magnolia vibes especially the outside when you walk up (I personally haven't been to Magnolia in Waco). Our cashier was Paris and she was extremely helpful and kind. A warm and welcoming smile and made us a very fun Christmasy coffee drink which we loved.

Bring a friend, because you'll need to split a sandwich. Definitely one of the best places for deli sandwiches anywhere. Next time, I'm getting a cannoli too.

Best Reuben sandwich I've had anywhere close by in a long time. Perfectly grilled, freshest ingredients, lovely and polite staff. The deli is clean, modern, and has plenty of seating. Great market selections too and meat and seafood options in the freezer case! Don't forget the pastry options, delicious and beautifully crafted. Oh and the BREAD...must grab several loaves!

Love the crusty toasted bread, tangy mustard and tender pastrami of the hot pastrami sandwich. It was big enough that I shared it with my husband and was full! Super friendly staff and lots of samples to try. Love that they carry American Spoon and Matiz products. Thank you for bringing this much needed deli experience to Champaign!

We made the opening at Martinelli‘s Market Bakery and Deli today in Champaign. The food was excellent. I had the muffaletta, and my husband had the Italian sandwich. Both were fresh, the meats and cheeses were excellent, and the breads are their specialty. Our sandwiches were definitely large enough to share, however, we ate half and took the rest home for dinner. We also had the Italian picnic pasta salad. I will definitely order that again. For dessert, we selected the chocolate pistachio cannoli. Another great choice. The cannoli shell was dipped in chocolate and had a creamy pistachio filling. We live two hours away, but we will be back. Congratulations on a successful opening day.
