Place is Soo quaint and perfect for a nice dinner or lunch! Didn't get to check out the wines but the Pisco Mule was on point. Highly recommend the grilled octopus and chocolate moose was okay. They need more desserts. Service was impeccable. I definitely! Recommend this place. Virginia, US.
Don’t sleep on Oculto! This is one of the best restaurants in Cusco truuuuly. Incredible wine options, can’t miss the buttery garlic shrimp, the grilled alpaca steak, or the grilled cabbage. Special shoutout to the fig salad and the duck ragu, both fab! 10/10 amazing service, reservations readily available, and such a good vibe!!! Love this place A few things to note which do not negate the 5 stars is that the trout ceviche was a little too fishy for my taste and the grilled octopus was a touch tough (admittedly I find most grilled octopus too tough) Still the best restaurant!! We ate here 4 times in 6 days :)
This is an interesting restaurant in Cusco. The food was fantastic but the portions were so small that it left you wanting....MORE! Like put some food on the plate or add a little rice with your garlic shrimp and I say this because I had the garlic shrimp. The sauce was unusual but incredibly good... probably the best I have ever eaten. My partner had fish that he raved about. I tried it too. Nicely delicate with a Thai influenced fusion. The chocolate mousse was to die for and very creative. Who would have thought that olive oil on chocolate mousse would elevate the flavor to new heights? BUT... it was served on a plate filling only half of it.. When you see it you feel cheated like someone ate half of your dessert. While the food is amazing we left hungry and for the price we thought diners deserve more.
Absolutely gorgeous.. such a nice restaurant with amazing food. Our waitress was also very attentive and sweet. We loved it!
One of the best meals i have had in cusco/ peru in general. Just really greatly executed dishes at good prices. Alpaca tartare: incredibly delicious dish. Could eat 3 plates of these. 10/10 Fig Salad: AWESOME salad. Might have over done it with the dressing’s acidity and wish i couldve tastes more of the anchovies. But 9/10 Paella: great execution and take on paella. Compared to the other dishes this one was more standard. Still delicious. 8.5/10 Sourdough french toast: delicious dessert to end off a yummy meal 9/10 I would come back and will be back in a heartbeat. Only thing was as dinner got busier, service became a bit slower as expected. My favorite spot so far!
We came in here for a light dinner. Everything was delicious. We ordered the fig salad and the duck Ragu pasta. Very delicate and perfectly balanced flavor. I had a glass of local Peruvian white wines delicious light, fruity with citrus and grape grapefruit note. The photos are not that aesthetically pleasing because it was so good and we forgot to take photo until it was almost gone. Highly recommend.
Beautiful restaurant / wine bar in Cusco! Their menu is focused on small plates of fusion dishes. Had their ceviche and garlic prawn (my favourite) and they are delicious. Service is attentive and warm.
Prompt service, cosy low-lit atmosphere, and delicious modern spins on Peruvian classics using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Peru sets the bar *very* high gastronomically, and despite this deserving 5 stars it wasn’t the very best meal I’ve had in Cusco (that honor goes to the ceviche at Miwa). But it was delicious nonetheless & I think most everyone would be satisfied here! It’s a small place & best to go as a couple or small group & make reservations.
