Went here for brunch for 3. We ordered Soup & Salad (Tomato bacon + Grilled Chicken Ceasar), Truffle Parmesan fries, Bruschetta, Macaroni & Cheese, and Blueberry cheesecake. Food tastes delicious! Served fresh and hot, did not wait too long to eat (cause we were starving , and this being our first meal of the day). Our server was super nice, kept it chill and consistently checked on our needs and provided what we asked for, she's great! (I'm terrible... I did not ask for her name) Not to mention the music playlist they got on during our stay was amazing, kept our mood happy and chill. It was my first time to visit this place and I would definitely recommend this as a go-to if you want to have good food and feel the local ambiance of the city (I'm visiting Calgary w/family from Vancouver). Our whole experience dining here gave us very good vibes. Already planned to come back again for dinner! Keep up the good work OJ's!
I’m from Germany and on my Road Trip through Canada. I visited Joe’s today and had The Original Burger with sweet potato fries and a Caesar salad. The staff were super friendly, and the food was excellent. I had no idea what to order, so I told the lovely lady behind the bar to surprise me — and she did not disappoint! She created two tasty cocktails. It’s definitely worth a visit for its rustic style, great atmosphere, and beautiful bar.
After walking around the downtown area, we decided that we needed a light lunch. It was about 2:00 in the afternoon, and we had dinner plans, so not looking for a heavy meal. Original Joe's menu looked like it would be a good fit. Not too many people when we arrived. Just a few sitting at the bar, having a quiet conversation. We got seated right away towards the back of the dining area. Our server did a great job to get us settled in with menu and waters. Decided on the West Coast Chop Salad with some Guacamole and Chips. Didn't have to wait to long to get the food. It was good. They split the salad for us which made it easy to share. The Guac and the Chips were fresh and well seasoned. A decent place for a quick lunch.
Had some happy hour draughts and food here, pretty worth it! The best thing was the onion rings.
I Am very Pleased To Say, The Server She Was Absolutely Amazing. Also The Food Especially The Fish Tacos With Fries & Gravy Were Absolutely Amazing! Also Very please to inform The Service Was Amazing. I Look Forward On Coming To Original Joe's Again, Next Time Visiting Friends in Calgary During my next visit From Edmonton.
The food was AMAZING. I would go back to Calgary just to eat here, they have one of the best Poutines ive ever tried and the chicken wrap and tomato bacon soup were godly as well. The service is super good and the atmosphere is funny, we went during an NHL game and everyone else was just focused and reacting to the game (wasnt too bad, there were 5 other people at most) 100% recommend coming here the food really is unmatched
First time to an Original Joe's today, while we were visiting Calgary Tower. VERY quick walk and VERY short distance to this amazing restaurant from the tower. Outside is appealing, the inside is even cooler! Ordered the beef dip and Carolina pulled pork sandwiches with sides of Poutine and fries. The only minor thing I can say, is the au jus was very bland, not much flavor. Overall very impressed with the food. The Service was wonderful. Did not get the name of our server, she did great, very personable! Would return here in the future, as I see they have several locations! Cheers and thanks!
