The food served had a New Orleans & south Louisiana flavor. It was spicy, flavorful & plentiful. The sweet tea was delicious! I could not eat everything so I requested a doggy bag. The staff was friendly, helpful & very attentive to my needs. I am so happy I dined at Orlandeaux's.
The food was hot and fresh and you get such a bountiful amount for the cost. It's very reasonably priced for what you will receive. Everyone was friendly and the view is awesome. The place could use a little bit of updating the decor and restroom area, which was very slippery, but it's still very homey. My water had a dish soap taste as I got to the bottom, but I guess that means the glass was clean, just not rinsed well. My second glass of water was perfectly fine. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
A fantastic place to have lunch. We were 10 minutes before opening time of 11AM. There were at least 20 people queuing before us. By the time we were seated a quick turn back showed there were 30-40 more. The food is classic, exquisite and flavorful. We greatly appreciated the fast and courteous service. We preferred grilled catfish and shrimp and grits. Both were delicious.
I absolutely love it there!!! The food is delicious and value priced. The ambiance is authentic and lively. The servers, waitstaff, owner and bartenders are the best! No call in orders and this popular eatery fills up fast. Expect a wait. But please enjoy the lake side view and amazing frozen drinks. It's all part of the experience. Good things come to those who wait.
Waitress was amazing. I got the shrimp creole. They offered me toast or cornbread. I received both. The shrimp creole was ok. Got there before they opened had to waited for like 2 minutes. She got a shrimp entree. The shrimp was a great combination with the sauce. Seasoning on the fries had an interesting taste. We don’t really know what dishes to recommend but we will definitely be coming back.
Hands down this place is 10 out of 10. I was in Shreveport, LA on a business trip and someone from the area recommended Orlandeaux Café. From the time you walk in the door you're greeted by the friendly staff. Music filled the dining area. The music was loud enough to hear and enjoy but also you could have a conversation without screaming. The service was amazing. We ordered the alligator bites, buffalo style shrimp, Oyster Po Boy and a Seafood Platter. The seafood was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I travel a lot and this place is #1 on my seafood list. I will say bring an appetite because the portions are huge. Just plan to to ask for a to go box. The waitress was friendly and attentitive. There wasn't a long wait for our food or refills. There's a reason that they've been in business for so long. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend.
When I say good, I mean GOODT!!!! They recently moved to a lakefront property and the view inside and outside is absolutely amazing! Our waitress was Nora and she was everything! She was calm, thorough, helpful, and very sweet! Now let’s talk about this food….They had a young ma come in JUST to cook for our party of 15 and he threw down! The portions are big that the food literally poured over the sides of the plates! Nobody had to add any seasoning because it was cooked to perfection! Our party order the beef tips and gravy, smothered pork chops, red beans and rice, etouffee with fried catfish over top, cornbread, greens, Mac-n-cheese, etc. and none of it disappointed! The only con I had was that it was a little chaotic with another large group that came in the same morning. I think it was supposed to be 27 but more people kept coming, but a younger black guy was moving and hustling to get the situation handled by moving more tables together. Also, the waitress for that big party (blonde bob) seemed to have had a nasty attitude or been having a bad morning with the comments she was making so we were grateful that we got Nora Overall, I will definitely be back!!!
If you are in Shreveport, Louisiana or within a 30 mile radius— this is a MUST! We had the gumbo, stuffed shrimped, shrimp creole, corn bread and peach cobbler and the best sweet tea! Oh my goodness, we were blown away with the amount of flavor and perfection each dish was cooked to. We sat at the bar top, to be honest they were busy, and it took about 5ish minutes to be greeted and get drinks, but our server Coco, was amazing! She was welcoming and friendly, and prompt!
