Food was amazing ! We had pizza, soup and salad, and everything was delicious and of high quality. The service unfortunately did not match the quality of the food. The woman who served us greeted us in a cold manner, as if we were bothering her. The service was professional, but business like, it really lacked warmth and friendliness. Maybe she was having a bad day, and that's ok. Another server (a man) came to see us during our meal and he was very kind and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice (it was Monday so rather quiet), the decor is lovely. My only suggestion is that the AC could have been turned down a bit (it was 20 degrees outside), we did not hang out long (and did not have dessert) mostly because we were cold ! All in all I would go back certainly !

Where delicious food, art, and ethics come together in the beautiful Hotel Le Germain in Charlevoix. We ate so well, fresh meat charcuterie, tartare, chicken, pasta, and pizza. Everything is incredibly fresh, they even grow their own veggies and herbs, and raise their animals on the spacious farm right behind the restaurant. Thank you to all the amazing servers that made my first baecation dinner special

We loved our dinner there!! Upscale place with affordable dishes… the little brother of the Michelin restaurant next door. We enjoyed fish and ribs! And pudding chomeur for dessert! They also have some local drinks like apple juice coming from Ile d’orleans and nice wines. Service was great and really fast. It’s located right next to the train station and inside the hotel.

This is a top-notch restaurant, one of the best we had in Canada so far. The menu is quite large, designed to make everyone happy: you want family cuisine when your other half wants a dish that's a bit out there? oh and the kids still want their favourite meals? you've got it! The menu changes depending on the season, as well as through the chef's inspirations. The service is outstanding, everyone listens to the diners, they are extremely attentive and proactive. Without being too posh for that's not necessary in that environment, we enjoyed the atmosphere with the wood stove, that only added a little magical touch to our wonderful experience. They were helpful with the wines recommendations. The wine menu has everything to satisfy any palate. The food was delicious, with exceptional savors. We had a lamb pizza once (see photograph). One of the best pizza I have ever had (and we tasted exceptional pizzas in Sicily). Not sure it is still on the menu, but it gives an idea of the audacity and how it impacted the whole experience: you are not only thrilled by the food itself but by the whole frame. We visited the restaurant three times, in December and May. I can only recommend December and winter atmosphere for it's pure wonder with the snowy landscapes, the ice rink outside, and the chill out ambiance. It's nice and comforting to see a place that goes beyond mere hospitality. For one does not want to leave with cheering memories only. When it comes to excellence, the guests need profound waves along with recollection: thanks for providing inspiration and ideas.

Beautiful restaurant! Food is really good, quality ingredients with a focus on what’s local. The only thing I didn’t like to be honest is the chips with the tartare, they were not warm at all and that’s a big nono for me. The minimal effort of providing them freshly cooked would elevate the experience very much for the price. Apart from that everything was fabulous! Little tip, get the charcuterie board with cheese and meats. For an extra dollar you are getting much more than the cheese board alone.

The restaurant is located in Le Germain hotel near a beautiful town. We had a wonderful dining experience here. The service and food quality was not less than amazing and most definitely delicious.

I had a lovely Christmas dinner at Le Bercail with my family. The food and cocktails were delicious. The French onion soup was excellent, as was the boeuf bourguignon and seafood chowder. The service was a little slow, and they tried to give us another table's order (and check).

While staying at the hotel we were so relaxed that we were hoping for a meal that was steps away. Always on the lookout for something new, we were drawn in by the alligator pizza and it didn't disappoint. The seafood chowder is easily shareable and dense with flavour. We were excited for the beets salad and it was colourful and fresh from the farm. Props to the waiter for suggesting the traditional Québécois dessert: pouding chômeur. We don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was simply delectable. Paired with local beers and liqueur coffees, we left feeling satisfied. Make reservations on the weekend- this place gets full!
