Service was great. The place was super clean. So important to me now with COVID. not a lot of people inside. The food was really good. I will definitely come back. Update: Today my husband and I came in for lunch and we chive to get a lot of things (so many good choices). We got mangu (Dominican mashed plantains) I typically only like the ones my mother in law makes, but for the first time I found a place that makes it just as good. They have great tasting food that feels homemade yum
Oh..what a gem! This was the very best Dominican food we ever had. We shared a few dishes but are definitely coming back to try their weekly specials. The red snapper, beef, fried chicken, mofongo...all made to perfection. The slow cooked pork was just melting in your mouth.. Try the octopus salad, it is amazing...
All I can say is Yummmmmmy!!! This small restaurant is big on taste and customer service. They were extremely busy when me and my daughter came in but everyone was smiling and very friendly. The food is delicious, I can’t wait to try more items from the menu. Note: for some items you have to call to make sure they made it for that day, but it’s definitely worth the effort. You won’t be disappointed. The dressing for the salad that also tastes delicious on everything else too is a secret family recipe, they need to bottle it and sell it . Stop by and you’ll find yourself coming back again and again, sadly I live out of the area right now but I’ll definitely be back as soon as I’m in the area.
My family and I were visiting PA from Florida. We found Sabor Dominicano and they did not disappoint with flavor or variety. Sabor Dominicano delivered an incredible dining experience that felt like stepping right into a Dominican kitchen filled with love and tradition. We ordered the arroz con gandules, pernil, and sweet plantains, and every bite was rich, comforting, and beautifully seasoned. The pernil was tender with that perfect roasted flavor, the rice was fragrant and full of depth, and the plantains added just the right touch of sweetness to round out the plate. To top it off, we had parcha (passion fruit) juice, which was refreshing, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the meal. You can tell the food is made con amor. If you’re craving hearty, soulful island cooking, Sabor Dominicano is absolutely worth the visit. I’m already looking forward to going back for some mofongo.
Food is always delicious. The staff are friendly and do not mind explaining dishes if you're unsure what it is. Presentation is better then some high end restaurants in the area. They have a house hot sauce that just adds that extra bit. Highly recommend.
Absolutely freaking delicious pernile y arroz con grandules. Also the pineapple cake was phenomenal! This will place be my go to for Spanish food for sure!
I had the pleasure of dining here, a delightful Spanish restaurant located in Catasaqua. I ordered the pernil with yellow rice and beans, and it was a delight. The food was fresh, bursting with flavor. What truly stood out was the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The owner personally greeted customers, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. This made it feel like a family-friendly place where you're not just a customer but a guest in their home.Overall, my visit to Sazon Dominicano was a fantastic experience, combining delicious Spanish cuisine with exceptional hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming dining experience.
Highly recommended dominican food! Foods are great flavorful and service is very attentive. My favorite dominican restaurant in Catasaqua area!
