Here’s a NED-style review for Theo’s Feed Mill (Grand Rapids, MI): --- What Works Well - Classic American comfort food with a focus on hearty breakfast and brunch options. - Friendly, welcoming atmosphere with a cozy, rustic vibe. - Generous portions and well-executed dishes like skillets, omelets, and pancakes. - Good coffee and breakfast cocktails available. - Popular with locals for casual dining any time of day. --- What to Watch Out For - Can get crowded during weekend brunch hours—expect waits without reservations. - Service is friendly but sometimes slow when busy. - Not a spot for fine dining or elaborate cuisine—casual and straightforward fare. - Limited dinner options; mainly focused on breakfast and lunch. --- Verdict Theo’s Feed Mill is a solid, no-nonsense spot for classic American breakfast and brunch with a hometown feel—great for casual mornings or weekend meetups. Rating: 4.1 / 5 --- Want the top breakfast picks or peak times to avoid waits?
Met my sister here as this is halfway for both of us. We got there right at 11, so not crowded. They have a daily special which we ordered. The menu isn’t clear, really needs some work. The waitress was friendly, but seemed very rushed. The atmosphere was perfect. Original floor boards, loved the overall feel of this restaurant. Will we go back? Probably
We had a great meal here at an unbelievable price. The smoked brisket was tender and moist. The salad bar had a lot of choices. The onion rings were cooked perfectly, they came out hot and crunchy on the outside with thick moist onions on the inside. Friendly and efficient service and great atmosphere.
The owner is a sweetheart. The food is price reasonably the customer service is outstanding the atmosphere is pretty cool and not to mention the Brisket. The brisket is so juicy and cooked to perfection. The best brisket this side of Alabama and this side of Texas. The food was out within 7 to 8 minutes granted I was there at 8:30 PM if I can give them 10 stars I would.
We had a wonderful lunch!! I had smoked sausage, corn nuggets, and pigtail fries. My husband had pulled pork, okra, and corn nuggets. It was great as well! They make their own barbecue sauce. It is wonderful!!! Everyone was very friendly too! We would highly recommend!!!!
This is not a fancy place! But simple fresh hand patty cheese burgers, great service and friendlyness makes up for it! They also was kind to let us bring in our dog to the outside setting. Definitely a local spot. Worth the detour of the freeway.
The best food and drinks for an amazing price plus the southern vibe and hospitality you won't find anywhere else
What a pleasant little find!! Home cooking, feel like a local and like family when you walk in!! The good was amazing and the service was like momma welcoming you home for a Sunday afternoon meal!! Delicious!! My husband and I found this online on an overnight road trip home to Texas from North Carolina.. it was perfect and hi the spot!! We got the special which was ham, green beans, sweet potato casserole, homemade yeast rolls then a choice of strawberry cake or homemade banana pudding (we chose both desserts) A precious find!!
