I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The atmosphere is modern, bright and well decorated. Every single pasta dish was a pure delight. The aroma and flavour were quite present. The service was excellent as they were very attentive to our requests. The pistachio gelato was a must, imported directly from Italy.
The food was good, as was the service. The veal Parmesan was very good. They serve you olives, some type of spicy Italian peppers, and balsamic vinegar mixed with oil for bread. We had the calamari to start which was enjoyable. The only tough parts were, the curtains next to my table weren't working properly. It seemed really empty inside and still had to wait a little for our server at times.
Delicious food, great Customer service, the waitress was so sweet! Loved the meat and cheese board(antipesto platter), the delicious complimentary bread and pasta (manicotti) which consisted of pasta with cream sauce with spinach and bacon!
I was pleasantly surprised as this was the first of ten restaurants in Ottawa where the cutlery was of a high standard (18/10 stainless steel). I ordered the $60 dish - "Rack of Lamb Andrea", the ribs were tender and tasty, but the price was clearly overpriced as the portion was very small. Instead of potatoes, I would suggest adding some eggplant and zucchini slices to the vegetables - it would have been much tastier that way! When I asked the waiter to move me to a table for four because I enjoy dining at a larger table, he gladly agreed. In some restaurants, the waiters refuse for some reason. The service is excellent...I recommend it.
The seafood linguine was perfectly prepared - well seasoned and fresh. Complimenting with limoncello ice cream for dessert was also fantastic with a very palate cleansing tartness for those who crave that. We were seated in the back room and had very attentive service.
Wonderful date night at Tosca Ristorante. Our second time there and we've enjoyed both times, more actually this second visit. Food was delicious. Service was excellent and friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was cozy and romantic and elegant. Definitely planning our next visit!

Great place for Italian in downtown Ottawa. The food is delicious. I have come here for the last 15 years and have never been disappointed. Service is kind and efficient. The atmosphere is elegant, modern and fun.
Food was great service was just as good! Wine was also really good, I asked for something mild and that’s just what I got! Nice, clean, quiet place. Definitely recommend trying it out.
This Italian restaurant was a pleasant surprise! We were quite surprised at how empty the restaurant was midday on a weekday, but the dishes we ordered were great. Our dishes were very tasty and came out quickly. The ambiance within the rest was quite modern and comfortable, with a clean dining room and restrooms. Our waiter was quite friendly as well. My only disappointment was that the pasta used for their dishes is predominantly dried pasta and not fresh, in house made pasta.
Coming down from Montreal my husband reserved this restaurant, Enzo and Mariem were fantastic and both attentive to our needs . All I can say food delicious and customer service amazing keep it up and Viva Calabria
It was my first time eating here, and it did not disappoint. The food was so delicious, I had the tortellini, very flavorful. We had some bruschetta bread, calamari, and fried zucchini as apps. Everything was cooked perfectly. My coworker had the seafood pasta, and she doesn't eat mussels, so i had them, and they were cooked perfectly. The dessert the carrot cake with caramel was to die for, the best I've ever had. We were a group of 10 and the waiter was so great, the staff were friendly. For an Italian restaurant, I would definitely recommend it.
I’ve always enjoyed Tosca for business lunches. Recently have been there more for dinners and have been just as pleased. It’s the type of place that when you go, you are still thinking how good it was days later.
