A Gem in Florence - Incredible Value! Trattoria Sabatino is everything you hope for in an authentic Florentine dining experience. This cozy, family-run trattoria has mastered the art of serving exceptional food without the tourist markup. I ordered the tagliatelle al sugo and braciole al ferri with potatoes, and both dishes were outstanding. The pasta was perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful sauce, and the grilled meat was tender and seasoned beautifully. The prices are almost shockingly reasonable for the quality you receive. This is genuine home-style Italian cooking at prices that feel like you're eating at a friend's house rather than a restaurant. One important tip: we arrived 15 minutes before opening time and there was already a queue forming outside. Get there early if you want to snag a table without a long wait. The place is clearly beloved by locals and informed tourists alike. If you're looking for an authentic trattoria experience away from the overpriced tourist traps, Trattoria Sabatino is an absolute must-visit. The combination of warmth, quality, and value is hard to beat.
Was recommended this place by a friend and it lived up to its hype. The food was delicious and it’s a very authentic experience. We queued to get in but it went fast and it was worth it. The value was excellent. Wine was €3 for a bottle. The cost each was £23 for a four course meal and a bottle of wine each
Wanted so bad to get to this place and eventually headed there last evening. Arrived 15 minutes earlier and was already a long line, but we managed to get inside after 20 minutes. The place takes you back to the old days, it has a rustic design, you sit at tables with other people as well but the staff is very nice and there is enough space for everyone. The menu changes daily and the prices are more than afffordable ranges from 3 to 40 (bistecca). The food ia excelent, everything we had was perfectly cookes although some portions are not that big but it is more than fine. Wine is also good, 1.3 euros per glass. Everything is moving quickly, you do not have to wait for the food and as mentioned before everything tastes amazing. If you want to experience a classic italian dinner this place ks definetely for you, just be prepared to eat great.
Awesome experience! Certainly one of the best places I have eaten so far in Italy. The restaurant felt so welcoming, almost like I was part of the family. Thank you very much, I would certainly come again.
Great little place for no frills food. We had the tortelli with black cabbage, spezzatino di castrato (lamb stew), roasted potatoes, green seasoned salad and millefoglie. Everything tasted great and the prices are unbeatable. The only thing that could perhaps be improved is the salad, which turned out to just be a bowl of lettuce with some olive oil and vinegar - it could do with a little more variety.
Nice and tipical italian place. They have just traditional meals and the restaurant it’s run by a family. The food it’s very tasty and the prices are very good.
Best meal I had in Florence easily. This is truly authentic Tuscan food- very simple and unpretentious, but the ingredients are just that good that everything will blow your mind. All cooked perfectly and the staff were all great- not to mention it was super, mega cheap! €5.40 pasta and €6.80 roast beef. Definitely worth waiting in the queue, just make sure you get there early! No bookings here.
Was excited to try this place. I expected a bit of a wait, but was surprised to see a long line before the place opened. A local passing by even stopped to yell at people for doing so…oops That said, it was well worth it. The meal was simple, delicious, and fairly priced. I liked the straightforward menu with a few solid options. The pasta with pork ragù and roast beef were both excellent. Efficient service too!!
