My husband and I came here before a show at the Guthrie last evening. Our server, Kim, was knowledgeable about the menu and very nice! She helped us get out the door for our show quickly when we realized we were running a bit behind. Honestly everyone on the staff (host, manager, bartenders) were so friendly; they really made the experience great. For drinks we got the Basic Plus (if you like sweet drinks, it was so good!) and an Old Fashioned. We did the Arancini for an appetizer and then the steak and bolognese for our entrees—everything was delicious!! The atmosphere is classy, and we had a cozy spot in one of the big booths—perfect for a date. We had such a good time, we doubled back for dessert since our show didn’t end too late. Good vibes and food, and excellent service!!
I came to see the Dueling Pianos at the Canopy by Hilton, and it was such a fun night! The band was fantastic—great energy and amazing talent. You could tell everyone in the room was having a great time. The Umbra restaurant, which is connected to the hotel, was just as impressive. The manager was incredibly attentive—she stopped by our table several times to check on us and even helped with our orders. The food was delicious, and the service made it even better. I absolutely loved the ambience—classy, relaxing, and perfect for a night out. Between the music, the food, the drinks, and the company of good friends, it turned out to be a memorable evening. I’d definitely go back!
I took my mom and family here for her birthday dinner, and we had the pleasure of being served by Ally. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. To put it in perspective, we were a group of 16 with a few people unfortunately arriving late, but Ally handled it all with patience and grace. She explained menu items clearly, accommodated dietary needs, and consistently checked in to make sure we were taken care of. She even offered to take photos of us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Her exceptional service truly made my mom’s birthday special. I really hope she gets a raise because she deserves it! The food was okay, but Ally’s service truly elevated our experience. At one point, I went to the bar to ask if one of the bartenders could get Ally for us. One bartender ignored me completely. I understand the bar was busy and that she wasn’t our server, but another bartender came over and kindly tried to help. He explained he didn’t speak English and asked the other bartender to assist me. Despite not serving anyone at the time, she continued to ignore me. I ended up waiting by the bar until Ally returned and helped us right away.
We, unlike others, had a great experience here. We had dinner on a Sunday night in December. Great service, great food. I had the shrimp cocktail and prosciutto wrapped broccolini which was so good. Beautiful atmosphere and the Christmas decorations were so fun! The waiter even gave us an additional Christmas cocktail- for free! It was quiet enough to talk. On a Friday or Saturday it’s much louder and they have music. Parking is in the ramp right across the street-very convenient.
Jade and Allí were amazing the atmosphere was def a vibe. i’m not a guess in the hotel but the bar is amazing. Food and drinks are on point. !!
Sweet Keys dueling pianos and a sweet dinner! I had the sweet corn (scratch made) gnocchi and my husband had the duck breast which was cooked to his preferred medium. We ended with the lemon blueberry “tiramisu” dessert in the dining room before moving closer to the live music. Had a blast with the pianists and the others there enjoying a Friday night before the Vikings game.
Breakfast was good. Eggs benedict were very tasty. Potatoes were delicious. I love the atmosphere and the mood of this place.
We are from out of town and went here on a weeknight for a date. We loved the atmosphere and lighting. As far as menu items, the drinks were delicious and well-balanced. I had the Pink Spice and my husband had the Manhattan. The food came timely and was phenomenal. We started out with a Caesar salad and grilled bread. After that, we got the burrata pesto pappardelle and scallop entrees. Both were plated beautifully & had such depth of flavors with the sauces and/or sides that came with each. My husband and I have already recommended this location to his local co-workers, and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future. Would recommend!
