I cannot praise this business enough. I go so much, the owner already knows what I want. I stumbled across this place when I first moved to Clovis. The prices are UNBELIEVABLE! Your food is made to order so you can customize everything. There are only two workers (husband and wife) so give them time. This isn’t Panda Express. They do close everyday (I think it’s 2:00 - 4:30). They do not answer the phone due to the high volume of customers. The line can be almost out the door if you come as soon as they reopen or anywhere near 5pm. It’s small so you cannot dine in. What I like is you can see everything them cooking your meal fresh to order. I have a very small family and IMO, one place feeds 3 of us. I am NOT one about quantity, but I weighed my plate out of curiosity last time. It was over 3 lbs! BTW, I love their chow mein. I ask for extra cabbage and onion. Juicy and flavorful. Other suggestions are: orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef, à la carte BBQ pork fried rice (extra green onion), egg rolls and chicken wings. To me it’s with the wait to have fresh customized food at EXTREMELY economy friendly prices. I always tip. One of my favorite spots!
This little gem is located inside of a small strip mall. As you can see in the photo, the place was packed! Amazingly everyone that I spoke to, to inquire about the quality of the food there, were all First Timers themselves! Every person in that photo was there for the First Time! I have never experienced this in 45 years of dining out. The general feed back from each customer eagerly awaiting their turn at the counter was “I heard the food was phenomenal, I hope it’s worth the wait”? (The wait can be an extended one. I waited a good 20 minutes before reaching the counter to place my order and a good 20 minutes before my order was ready for pickup). The day I visited, there was no A/C, just a floor oscillating fan (Temp was 90° outside). There are no tables but there are chairs for waiting once you have placed your order. There is no public restroom. Wide doors and a level floor make it easy for wheelchairs to access. I did see two service dogs among the waiting customers. The wait time appears to be because the kitchen is very small and the popularity of the food easily overwhelms the three employees. They do their absolute best to give 100% attention to the preparation of the food and safety standards. When there are approximately 10 tickets, the cashier steps back into the kitchen to help the cooks catch up on meal plating and preparing the cooked food into To-Go bags. (This is what causes the extended wait times). This is Hands Down the BEST Teriyaki joint in Fresno! The slightly uncomfortable air temperature, the lack of public restrooms, the chairs but no tables and the extended wait time was WELL worth the visit! I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and the #15 Sautéed Shrimp w/fried Rice. My partner in crime went with the Build Your Own Combo Plate and chose Orange Chicken, Sweet n Sour Pork w/Chow Mein. The Teriyaki Chicken was nothing short of incredible! The chicken was the most tender and juicy that I’ve ever had. #15 had plenty of shrimp mixed with vegetables carrots, baby bok choy, celery, zucchini, mushrooms and cabbage. Throw on a healthy side of Fried Rice and you have a “winner” every-time! The Orange Chicken sitting right next to the Sweet n Sour Pork on the plate were almost indistinguishable. The only way to tell them apart was the tried and true taste test! I volunteered and the first bite was the Sweet n Sour Pork and it did not disappoint! (This is often a dry meat because it is overcooked and is masked by the “sweet/sour” sauce to make it palatable). This Sweet/Sour Pork was just a tender and juicy as my Teriyaki Chicken! I quickly jumped over to the Orange Chicken and it too blew me away! Tender, juicy, cooked to perfection and tossed in the Orange Glaze! In summary: The waiting situation is not ideal and can be uncomfortable on days with temperature extremes. No public restrooms. ADA compliant. The average price of a dish here is $10 - $18. Family operated. Amazing dishes that will knock your socks off.
My dad had an appointment at the VA, so my mom and I decided to try out a spot to eat Chinese. We are from Lemoore. This place is by far the best Chinese food I have had in awhile. There were 2 people waiting and 2 people that came after us. All the food is made when you order. It's worth the wait. The price for the amount of food is a major plus. We are planning our next trip there soon. The lemon chicken is phenomenal.
I just tried Walk Asian Grill and let me tell you… it was delicious! I had the BBQ pork fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken — and the flavors were on point. The best part? You get a huge plate for only $12.99. Definitely a bang for your buck, and it doesn’t taste like Panda Express either . Check out my full food review on Taste & Tease with Tonie on YouTube. First time customer. Definitely recommend! The portions were huge, the food was delicious, and the prices were the lowest I've ever seen in Fresno, for authentic Chinese food. The wait was totally worth it. Only $10 a plate! And many options.
The food was good. We really did enjoy our lunch. Generous portions. What I enjoyed most on my plate was the orange chicken. Their noodles were overcooked and there was no "pan fry" to them really. I wish I had tried their fried rice instead. There is no dining area. There may have been at one point in time, but it is now used as storage. The staff were nice.
Came here on a Saturday at noon. Got their beef fried rice. Even though there were only two people working, who I believe were the owners, the food came out relatively fast. The beef fried rice is very tasty! Huge portion enough to feed two people and great price—only $7.57 after tax, which is an amazing deal! The fried rice came with a lot of beef as well. Overall, great food and service. Will definitely come back.
The first time I tried this place it was nostalgic for me because it reminded me of my grandfather’s cooking. You may think that it’s all Chinese food but it’s not. Secondly, this place not only has good quality food but the price is off the charts. Best deal everywhere. For $33, you get family style dinner. You can’t find that anywhere. You could feed a small army. The dinner comes with a BBQ pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, and 3 other selection of entrees. So just the other day I order the family meal with the fried rice, chow mein, Thai spicy chicken, broccoli beef, and Mongolian beef. This was so good and the proportions is off the hook. I will come again and again. You should be coming here too.
