Sensational restaurant! Was recommended by a local who lives in the area and so glad I was. We booked ahead as a Saturday and managed to get a table in the court yard! What a wonderful meal including great wine, great starters of cheese and meats, the seabass and the carbonara were fantastic and then desert! Service is great! Don’t listen to the other messages! Only down side you cannot tip on card which left us feeling bad as we had no cash! Amazing Rome place
I am not sure what to make of this restaurant. I went there on consecutive nights and the experiences were vastly different. The first night, the service and the food were awesome. Everybody LOVED their dishes. Waitress was superb and one of the owners came by to check on us and we told her how much we enjoyed her establishment. That visit rated 5 stars. The next evening we returned but the owner was not there. We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes before a wait person came for our order. We waited for our food another 15 minutes and when it arrived the food did not taste the same as the evening before. Bread was stale and service was slow. The person in charge just did not look interested in doing his job and the experience was quite negative. As I stated above I am not sure what to make of this place. It comes highly recommended from our Roman friends, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt by awarding them 4 stars, because the second night’s experience merited only 1-star. To the owner(s), I beg you to be there all the time because when you are your food is terrific, service outstanding and the atmosphere fun and energetic. You restaurant is not the same without you.
Absolutely loved it! One of our favourite dinners in Rome so far... Restaurant is on a cute narrow street which makes it a date spot. Best carbonara weve had in Rome. Puttanesca & Tiramisu were also divine... FAVOLOSO!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Carbonara, lamb chopsticks and tiramisu 10/10. Amazing service by the napolitano Lino. Raise his salary. This guy is gonna recommend you the best combinations.
I would have preferred to come for dinner, but since we had limited time during our Italy tour, we stopped by for lunch. The place was clean and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Rafael and a young colleague whose name I unfortunately missed were very helpful. We tried Rafael’s favorite seafood pasta and the roast lamb, and it was a delightful meal. Thank you very much. I hope to have the chance to visit again.
Another hidden gem within the bustling city of Rome. Incredible pasta, pizza, and extremely fresh seafood. Bruschetta was made exactly as it should be. Fresh ingredients, attentive and friendly staff, and charming atmosphere. This is a must go restaurant!!
As a fan of the 1999 film “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” I recognized the name Otello as soon as I saw it, and later discovered it was Italian director Federico Fellini’s favorite restaurant, which is likely why it got name-dropped in the movie, given that Anthony Minghella was inspired by Fellini’s work. I ordered an antipasto with focaccia. Great food! I also noticed a lot of locals were dining here, which is always a good sign! :)
Food was overall just ok and we had to wait for a long time on Saturday night. Our server Raphaela was great though, very funny guy. Made the experience better.
