D & L Seafood & Grill

I ordered grilled red snapper and shrimp — everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The interior is simple yet cozy. The staff is friendly and attentive. Soft background music adds to the pleasant atmosphere for dining.

The best meal I've had in a restaurant in a long time! This place is a hidden gem. The service was great, the lunch prices were very reasonable, and the food was excellent. When they said fresh ear of corn on the menu, they meant it. The asparagus was cooked to perfection, and the chef took time to artfully arrange the grilled shrimp. The grilled shrimp lunch plate also came with a small salad, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp. My dining companions were equally happy with their fried shrimp and honey salmon. Will definitely look for opportunities to visit again.

Food was really good! Thought it was appropriately priced, (on the higher side since it is seafood) but a good value. Loved the cocktail sauce served with the apps. The bacon wrapped shrimp was so yummy and the batter on the calamari hit the spot too! Can definitely skip the house salad, but thought the salmon was cooked well and the Alfredo sauce on the pasta dish was perfect. The service is very slow though so beware. We didn’t mind since we were able to chat and talk with our group, but it was not quick or as attentive as you might hope for. Our server though was kind and friendly, but it did take a long time (an hour) for the food to come out. Would eat here again and would recommend!

Totally awesome place to eat! Everything was piping hot and delicious! Nice sized portions! The fries are dang amazing! They have perfect seasoning and crunch! Restaurant was super clean! They follow rules on social distancing and waitresses wear masks! They are very nice and are attentive! Tea gets refilled when you want or need it. I was very pleased and amazed how delicious their food was. It looks small from outside, but very spacious inside. The atmosphere is great. You can dress up or just be casual. Its very nice to bring someone on a date too! Prices are reasonable and comparable too. I thought I had found my favorite seafood place till I ate here today. Now this is my favorite! If you are in Athens AL, you need to stop in and try their amazing food!

We ate here for the first time today & it was amazing. We will definitely be coming back. The gumbo is great, egg rolls great, EVERYTHING we had was fabulous!!

Perfect perfect perfect !! Their steak tops highend steak houses!! Plump, juicy and seasoned just right !! I was impressed!! I did not have to get suited up to buy a $74 steak t I get the taste!! Awesome and satisfies with this local joint..nice atmosphere, regular folks here. Pricing is good....i will make the trip backand I am 2 hours away..

Just stopped in to try. Wife was wanting seafood, and this came up on map search. It really is a hidden gem. In a strip mall and not much to look at, but wow, the servers are unbelievable. We had Elizabeth, and she acted like we were family (the good kind, lol). We had the fish tacos and catfish. Probly some of the best fish tacos I have ever had, and we travel internationally. The catfish are the bigger filets that I am not normally a fan of, but these were awesome. No fishy taste from tacos or catfish. The lunch menu is a great value, especially for the amount of food you get. We will definitely be back. If you find yourself close to Athens do yourself and favor and give them a try.
