I can explain my experience in 5 words: I love Fresh Box Seafood. I initially came down to Florida from Maryland during spring break and stumbled upon this hidden gem in the plaza. From my week long stay, I ate here literally everyday. After the first try, I just couldn’t resist. The food trays are customizable and such an amazing price for the quality of seafood you get. The meat on the shrimps and crabs is so juicy and tender. I have never eaten such amazing plump shrimp! They also just season their food PERFECTLY. There is the perfect amount of butter slathered on the plump meat and the perfect blend of cajun and old bay seasoning. It is literal heaven. Chef's kiss, I wish the owners would build a store in Maryland. It is so delicious and reminds me of home. I’m not going to lie, the crabs here are much better than in Maryland (home of blue crabs). Although it hurts me to defame my home state, it’s absolutely true because Fresh Box Seafood is so delicious. Maryland needs to catch up on their service and quality! The blue crabs have so much meat in them and they are so fresh and perfectly cooked. Previous crabs I've eaten were such a chore, trying to fish out the limited meat within the legs. These blue crabs at Fresh Box are stuffed! I also know that the owners definitely care about the quality of meat they get. They always get new fresh crabs daily and they will dispose of the dead crabs. I know here the quality is always superb. The potatoes are my favorite here. I am a HUGE carb lover, the potatoes are my solace, my comfort. I absolutely love how soft and flavorful they are. Also, GET THE SHRIMP. The shrimp is actually phenomenal. I never really liked shrimp but wow. Eating the shrimp here actually blew me out of the ball park. I also had an amazing experience with the owners and their service. The family-run restaurant is owned and managed by an amazing couple! The service and the love they put into their work and their quality of food is beyond amazing and perfect. They always have these bright smiles and make an effort to ensure that every customer is loved and satisfied with their order. They also remember their customers which makes the experience even more special to me. This is the kind of hospitality id what more restaurants need. I guarantee you, I WILL be back. So excited to explore more of the menu at Fresh Box Seafood.

Place was awesome! First time in Daytona, wanted good fresh seafood without costing an arm and a leg! Staff was friendly and very helpful! Will be back on my next visit!

Stopped by Fresh Box Seafood on the way from Orlando to Daytona Beach— and it did not disappoint! Prices were incredibly cheap for the amount of food, even though we ordered the boil for one, it was a generous portion or crab legs, shrimp, and potatoes. The lady whom I assume was the owner takes your order at the counter and advised she’d bring it to our car. Don’t expect to dine in as they’ve only 1 table next to their fridges and it’s quite a small space.

The food was amazing! This is my first time going as I found this gem on TikTok. Plenty of food well seasoned the atmosphere was clean did not have a horrible smell. Everything was perfectly on point. Definitely would highly recommend!

Their crabs were as delicious as all of the many recommendations. I got 2 dozen to travel back home (hour and a half drive) with. The garlic butter seasoned blue crabs were large and meaty and at a great price! I WILL certainly be frequenting them! You better get them early as they sell out fast!

Delicious and juicy crabs. All of the crabs were perfectly steamed so the flesh was soft and moist. Butter and seasoning were mild and not overpowering which went very well with the flavor of the crabs. Corn and potatoes were perfectly cooked and sweet. We also ordered a tray of mussels, which was not on the menu. Mussels were very flavorful, meaty, yet soft. I was only visiting Daytona for vacation, but i will definitely return to Fresh Box on my next visit. The store is take-out only and does not have seating.

I love Fresh box Seafood!! Haven’t been disappointed yet! Owner and workers are friendly and the service and food is always on point! I usually do the family tray which is always delicious but sometimes I buy the shrimp/ crabs live and cook on my own. It’s always good either way. I recently got the crabs live (extra large) and they were full of meat and the quality was good( as always)!! Last pic is the Deluxe family tray which was delicious!!I wouldn’t skip on Fresh box seafood!! They are the ONLY place I go to in Daytona!!
