Tasty fresh fried seafood. Rustic environment, gives a true beach experience. Chef took a quick break to check on various guest, was interesting and pleasant to talk with. Ordered shrimp and scallops, not a typical meal for me, yet was highly edible. I'll come back with a more complex order soon.

Been looking around for fresh seafood in the area and nothing seems to show up in my search engine. To be more specific, crabs. Stopped by here after the beach to pick a couple crabs & try their grilled prawns. The options were plentiful for crabs, spider & rock crabs. The rock crabs were small and not very meaty but satisfied our cravings. The prawns were ok for our liking so I’d probably not order this again plus it was $46/lb and we literally only had maybe 6-8 prawns. Our total order was for 2 crabs and grilled prawns was $80. I think it’s ridiculous that they charge $1/lb more for steamed crabs. The whole complex has no other businesses around so you’ll have free, ample parking. The seafood place itself wasn’t very busy and I mean, it was just 2 other people there for the whole 45 mins that we were there. There isn’t indoor seating so only plan to sit outside in the patio with umbrellas but tons of seating/patio in the area. This place is a no frills so don’t expect much.

Great food. Line for food was so long and the wait for the food took time but that was because everything was made to order and they steam live crabs and different seafoods. The spider crabs was huge and tasty. The fries was cooked good and the restaurant staff were nice! The tables were all outdoor and was near the harbor so while waiting for the food you can actually take a little stroll.

We live out of state. Every time we drive through oxnard, we stop here to enjoy the view of the harbor. One order of food will feed two people, I always get the fried shrimp & fish with french fries. This place is a hidden gem if you're out of state and don't know the area

I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at HC Seafood! The spider crabs were cooked to perfection and had an incredibly delicious taste. The rock crab was also a standout dish that left my taste buds craving for more. The fried seafood selection was equally impressive, and the dishes were all cooked to a crispy and golden perfection. Moreover, the restaurant's location near the beach is simply breathtaking, and it made for a lovely after-lunch walk. I highly recommend HC Seafood to anyone who wants to enjoy great seafood in a beautiful location.

It looks a little shack and it is, with picnic tables and it has the best fresh grilled or steamed seafood. They will even pack it up to go. Definitely recommend the grilled spot prawns.

A real, old-fashioned seafood joint. Very modest kitchen with outdoor picnic table seating only; right near the dock. Plates are a little pricy, but big enough to share. Our fish was perfectly cooked, which is the most important thing (at least to us), and came with all the regular sides. Bonuses: free parking and a little cupcake place next door!

It was my first time here. This was recommended to us by co-workers who have gone here many times. They sell pretty good seafood selections and prices were reasonable because of tax inclusive. Live crabs are also available to be cooked. The reason for 4 stars was due to not being able to dine -in at their outdoor patio (due to covid-19) and also condiments were not available unless u ask. (Again due to corona)Otherwise,I would have given 5⭐.
