The food is second to none! Great service and clean place. Make sure to get the fish its fresh not frozen fish.

I was passing through the area and decided to stop here because my family and friends said it was a good place for fish. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures when my food came out. I ordered the fish and shrimp with two sides (baked potato and chow chow). I enjoyed it all except for the little bitty baked potato! It was the side of an baseball! Lol They do offer an all you can eat catfish but that was a bit much for me! I will definitely go back when I'm in the area! Prices were great too...you won't be disappointed!! Sorry about the pics didn't think about pics till after!

Very good experience at HushPuppies. Our portions were considerable and had a great taste (the cooking oil was fresh). The fillets and shrimp were meaty and well breaded. I really liked the okra too. The gumbo was traditional. Pricing was reasonable and the service was excellent. If this review was helpful, please "like" it.

Very friendly, cheerful service by our waitress. It took a while, but the chicken fried steak was nice and had very crispy breading and no voids in it. I opted for the turnip greens which were tasty and the mashed potatoes went well with the steak. Alas, we did not have room for pie. Another plus is the large size of the drink glasses, I really hate the dinky glasses that other places use.

Wow! My family and I had a great outing at this Cajun seafood restaurant. They have REAL CATFISH‼‼ My smile will NOT CEASE . Although I ate a freshly fried chicken fried steak.. I enjoyed my food! Everything was freshly cooked and it only took 21 minutes before our FRESH HOT FOOD came to the table . Oh yeah, DONT forget the JAR OF SWEET TEA w/ LEMON. Our server was very polite and full of energy. HER NAME IS T.C... PLEASE, PLEASE, COME VISIT THIS Restaurant, IF you haven't already..

Food was ok, fried green bean app was great. Ordered 8 oysters, they were kind of small, but there was 11 of them on my plate. Service was good; waitress was efficient but needs some people skills. Catfish was really good; Cole slaw tasted like the walk-in. All in all, an ok place to eat with some room for improvement. I was going to give them 3 stars, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, considering that we were seated at 2:30.

I went a few years ago at the old location, I didn't enjoy it then. I just tried out the new location Sunday Aug. 17th, 2025. It was just before noon and they weren't real busy yet. Everything was perfect. The okra was light and crispy, beans were good with fresh onion, fish filets and whole fish was crispy on the outside, moist and fluffy on the inside. I'll be back.

This was our second visit to Hushpuppies in their new location. Everything was really good. We started out with boutin balls. They were fried crunchy on the outside and we loved the sauce that came with them. We got the catfish & shrimp platter. My husband raved about the fish the next day. The filets were nice and meaty and perfectly seasoned and fried. The shrimp was awesome, too. I had a baked potato as one one of my sides which I really enjoyed. We get to visit when we visit my Mom, or we would be eating here every week. Great service, too!!
