Hands down the best fried shrimp and catfish in macon, and believe it or not one of the best burgers. I went here one day and was not in the mood for seafood and ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger and it was amazing. If you go at lunch get the fried shrimp plate that comes with fries hush puppies and coleslaw, it’s a great deal and it’s a lot of food.
The parking lot is very small and hard to get into and out of. The shrimp was good. The catfish filet was tough and had no taste or seasoning.
I won't trash this business with a 3 or 4 star overall rating but i want to point out a few things. Someone in another review pointed out it seems odd to name a place a steakhouse and have only one steak (ribeye). My food came out quickly and the server was very nice. The lady at the hostess stand didn't seem rude but she didn't have much spark. Someone else gave them a really bad review based mostly on the hostess. It's not possible for me to know if it was the same one but I have a feeling it might have been. She wasn't very personable and didn't give off a very welcoming vibe. The grilled buffalo shrimp were cooked perfectly as was the fried shrimp I ordered along with my ribeye. The steak seemed to be of poor quality. It was tough and had a large section of gristle that I think should have been trimmed off. I would recommend anything seafood from this place but wouldn't suggest the steak.
Simple, clean, good. This is a small venue but the food is delicious. I had grilled shrimp with grilled veggies of squash and zucchini, and everything was cooked perfectly with a crisp bite, not drenched in oil or grease like I've had elsewhere. The salad is just lettuce, a sliced tomato, and a red onion slice, with a tablespoon of dressing on the side, but that's okay, it's all I needed. The hush puppies were small and dense with a browned crust. I've seen other reviews so I'll be back to try their steak.
We had to wait for a while but it was well worth it! The food was great. Cooked to order, we ordered the chicken strip and two half and half (shrimp & oysters). Took some home for the next day! The waitress staff was friendly and we had two or three checking to see if we needed anything.
My wife and I were staying at a nearby hotel and I found this gem. We just missed the Friday night crowd and claimed a recently opened booth. We were quickly met by our server and ordered drinks and an appetizer. While most of the diners were raving about the various fish dishes, we were here to try the steak. We both ordered the ribeye (one rare, one medium rare) and when they arrived we were instantly impressed by the perfect sear. Both were perfectly seasoned, spot on temps, and as tender as any ribeye we have had. For just under $30 each, we had a steak that rivaled the big name steakhouses $50+ signature cut. We will be back!
