Bos' Sichuan Taste一碟川菜馆

This was my first time visiting Bos’s Sichuan Taste, and I had a wonderful experience! A very sweet and gentle waitress warmly welcomed us and patiently introduced the menu. She told us they offer free sweet soy milk, which my friend and I tried—and it was absolutely delicious. I’ve always been a little hesitant about spicy food, but with her recommendation, I decided to try the dry pot chicken, and it completely surprised me. It was incredibly flavorful! She explained that it’s very different from American-style orange chicken and represents a more authentic taste from her hometown. The crispy exterior paired with the juicy, tender chicken was amazing. The entire dining experience felt warm and genuinely pleasant. I truly felt welcomed and respected throughout the meal. I will definitely come back to try more dishes and will be bringing my friends with me next time. Highly recommend!

Casual modern Sichuan fare with underrated hits. Stopped by a couple times for quick lunches, and while they’re not as busy as it once was (especially with Mountain House around the corner), the food here still beats most Sichuan spots I’ve been in the city. Clean space, solid service, and no misses. My favorites so far were the Braised pork elbow and the Beef brisket noodles. The pork elbow was like a warm, heartier version of the garlic pork appetizer—slightly fattier, but the chili flakes on the side added a sweet-spicy kick that balanced it perfectly. As for the noodles, the shoyu-style broth was light yet savory, with tender brisket and perfectly al dente noodles. Simple, comforting, and well-executed. I also tried two lunch specials, both decent but with minor quirks. The potato grilled pork ribs donburi had well-seasoned ribs paired with braised vegetables—flavorful, though the bone cuts were a bit awkward (watch out for sharp edges). The "halibut rice" was misleading—no fish, just braised pork belly in a soy-BBQ sauce. Still tasty over rice. The prices here aren’t exactly budget-friendly, but I would occasionally come back for that braised pork elbow.

DIVINE! Ordered two beef dishes, tea egg, and rice cake. Everything was delicious, hot, and authentic. The szechuan shredded beef was so perfectly seasoned I'm salivating just thinking about it. Service was fast, and even though the menu and ordering process is done through QR code, the waitstaff continued to check in with us to see if there was anything else we needed and consistency topped off waters. It's become our go-to when in Boston! Only note is that it would be nice if rice was included with the main dishes for the price. Would need two orders of rice for one order of shredded beef, so the cost adds up fast

Portions are amazing! Ordered for pickup, and got the pick of three dishes with rice, great deal for $17. In addition to the, the flavor was absolutely incredible!!!! Each dish was to die for!!!! I absolutely can’t wait to go back!

This was our first time visiting Bos’ Sichuan Taste yesterday, and even today I still feel happy thinking about both the food and the service — so I decided to leave a review. From the moment we arrived, we had such a lovely experience. There was a very sweet and friendly female server who patiently answered all of our questions. She recommended the stir-fried beef with chili peppers (Xiao Chao Huang Niu Rou), and it turned out to be an amazing choice. When we got curious and kept asking about how the dried chili peppers are prepared, she took the time to explain everything in detail and even told us we could find the same chilies at a Chinese grocery store and use them with any kind of meat at home. That level of care and patience really stood out. We also ordered the Mapo Tofu and dry pot cabbage — both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. You can really tell the dishes are made with skill and authenticity. On top of that, the music and overall atmosphere of the restaurant were very relaxing, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Great food, warm service, and a comfortable vibe. We will definitely be coming back again!

The food is really good especially the double cooked pork and the spicy potato shred. The service is really fast and the food is out around 10-15 minutes. Overall this restaurant is definitely a hit if you want traditional Chinese food.

Authentic Chinese Gem in Allston! As someone who’s traveled to China many times, I’ve developed a real appreciation for authentic Chinese cuisine—and living in Boston, that’s not always easy to find. That’s why I was so impressed when I stumbled upon this humble little spot in Allston. The food is absolutely amazing—especially the duck and the Kung Pao chicken, which were both bursting with bold, traditional flavors. The atmosphere is simple, no frills, but it adds to the charm and authenticity. If you’re craving genuine Chinese food, especially Szechuan-style dishes, this is definitely a place worth checking out!

We’ve recently started spending more time around the Brookline and Allston area, and this Saturday we decided to give BOS’ SiChuan Taste (一碟川菜馆) a try. First of all, it was surprisingly easy to find street parking nearby. After checking with the owner, we were happy to hear that they welcome well-behaved dogs to dine with you—our husky Max was able to sit with us instead of waiting in the car, which made our experience even better. Unlike many other places, the owner and staff here are actually from Sichuan, and you can really feel that in both their hospitality and the food. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—especially the cold noodles, which reminded us of the real taste we’ve missed for a long time. The fish dish we ordered was also cooked in a unique Sichuan style: very refresh, tender and delicious, and with no fishy smell at all. Even Max got treated to a bowl of ice water! We truly loved the experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Sichuan food, especially if you want to avoid the crowds of Boston’s Chinatown.
