First time visiting and we'll definitely return. The food was all absolutely wonderful and the service is top notch. Wonderful staff, so attentive and friendly. Thank you!!!!
The staff were very accommodating. We were seated when we arrived, 30 minutes before our reservations and missing 4 people from our group of 6. Our server, John was great and got us to our show at the Rialto on time. Ask for the cheese Curds, as they are available, but no longer on the menu.
We were in town to visit some family and because it was Valentines day weekend, I made a reservation to have dinner with my wife. First, they have complimentary Valet. When you pull up to the door, the valet opens the doors for all of the passengers. When you walk in, the hosts stand is about a 15 foot walk but I understand why. My thinking is if there is a line waiting to be seated, there is plenty of room for patrons to stand while waiting to be seated, so that makes sense. The atmosphere is beautiful. Very intimate but still warm and inviting. The restaurant is dimly lit however, still bright enough to read the menu which is wonderful for people like myself that has vision challenges. Our server was Vicki, and she was THE MOST AMAZING! Very welcoming, knowledgeable of the menu and even hilarious and down to earth. She helped up to navigate through the menu and her suggestions were right on time. For starters we had the crab cakes and Ceasars salad we shared the seafood platter with a large lobster, scallops and shrimp. The seafood was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the sirloin and twice baked potato with Brussels sprouts. I had the garlic and herb whole rack of lamb with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was PHENOMENAL!! The entrees didn't take long to come from the kitchen and the presentations were gorgeous. The restaurant even had a complimentary Neopolitan cake for the Valentines day diners. We were very pleased with our visit and the whole experience. I would suggest EVERYONE to visit this establishment at least once for the experience. We actually are going back next month because there are menu items we just have to try!
We went to Cut 158 for our 10th Anniversary dinner last night. The food was very good. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection. I also highly recommend the chicken marsala. Our waitress, Vicki, was one of the best. Answered all of our questions we had and was very quick with our drinks. She was very kind and down to earth and made us feel welcomed. She also knew the menu and drinks like the back of her hand. When we finished dinner, she brought out the chocolate cake (which is to die for) and offered to take our picture. All in all, I recommend Cut 158. I also highly recommend having Vicki as your waitress! You will not be disappointed!
Ryan- valet friendly and personable. Jaymez - our server, was very knowledgeable, interactive, and a pleasure to talk with. First off, we arrived and saw they had complimentary valet parking. This was a nice plus! We started with cocktails, old fashions were made just right. We had the lamb chops and the fisherman's grill (see photos). Everything was amazing, flavorful and portioned well. We had the caprese and the tomato goat cheese. Both unique and a great pre course to the main entrée. For the main we had the special. A 10 oz filet, one standard and one with the blue cheese crust as well as a lobster tail, mixed with cheese butter and all sorts of deliciousness. For sides we had the mushrooms, brussle sprouts with bacon and a baked potato. All of which was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a up scale steakhouse with great atmosphere, amazing staff, and even better food!
Our favorite steakhouse in Joliet. The staff is always friendly and asks if you are celebrating a special occasion, which often leads to a complimentary lava cake dessert. They regularly stop by to refill drinks and are eager to get you whatever you need. They also check to make sure the food is to your liking. Everything has always been perfect, but I am confident they would happily remake anything if it were not. The dining areas and restrooms are immaculate. The only constructive criticism I have is that the menu seems to stay the same, but everything is fantastic, so it is easy to see why they would not want to change it. We dine here about five to six times a year.
I come here often with my family and it never disappoints. The service is always great and we don’t wait long for food and drinks. Everything tastes amazing, I can tell it is fresh and well prepared. There’s a generous selection of food and unique meats that typical steakhouses in this area do not offer. I’ve tried numerous dishes and appetizers and each one is delicious and unique in flavor. If you are in the Joliet area I recommend Cut 158 for a relaxing, inviting dinner.
Wife and I, came into Joliet on our way to Chicago for Valentine's Day weekend. Restaurant said they were booked up but bar was available. We decided to swing by and try it out, luckily they were able to give us a table. 1st things 1st, soon as you walk in the whole place gives off a VERY upscale vibe, dimmed lights, tabletop lighting, low music, all in all very intimate setting. We were seated almost immediately. We were very impressed with the menu offerings including lamp chops, bison, and swordfish. We ordered some shark bites Wife had the NW strip and I had the bison. Food was great!!! Each Meat was amazingly tender. I think what impressed us the most was the staff. Every single staff member was super friendly, and were astonishingly quick to remove any dishes we were done with or offer drinks without having to be waved down. Our server Jaymz was absolutely phenomenal, very knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and attentive. 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, 1 NW strip, 1 bison steak ran us about $270 after ~20% tip. Definitely on the pricier side but for a nice date night or special occasion definitely worth the splurge. My only complaint would be the choice of music played, for Valentine's day dinner I wish they would have gone with some nice mellow R&B
