UPDATE: So I returned to see if there was an improvement. Unfortunately, I have to say I was disappointed. Per my original review below, I was excited to receive the charcuterie plate. This time - NO PLATE. Not sure if they just forgot or what. I ordered onion rings, a cocktail (which they don't have any signature drinks, so you'll just have to ask for your favorite) and water - along with dinner and desert. I finished my water pretty quickly, but it took 20 minutes for it to be refilled. It was well over an hour since ordering, and hadn't received my complete meal yet. It ended up being close to 90 min. I'm a fan of music playing in the bar area. Most of the time ( maybe an hour ) it has been just silent. Then one of the staff started a Blake Shelton disc. I like Blake, but to listen to the same artist's entire album seems a little much. The Ribeye was good. The steak knife was wood and the blade was loose inside the handle. Maybe time to replace it. The lava cake was a ring with the center filled with chocolate. Typically, it's filling inside of cake, so a little different. Still tasty. Overall, I would say if you want to spend an evening eating dinner, don't mine having to ask for service or at least risk having one that is attentive and don't care what background music is playing, you will not be disappointed. Roosters just isn't a good fit for me. If you do go, the Ribeye was better than the Halibut. Updated my stars down to reflect this most recent visit. It was a different server today than last visit. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The first thing to notice was the charcuterie plate you receive when seated. It's a nice touch. There was apparently a large group at the restaurant the evening I was dining, so it may not be a fair review for my first visit. I felt like the portion size was good. I chose the Halibut and I was too full for dessert, but I also had coconut shrimp for an appetizer. For me, the shrimp were a little over-cooked. When I try Roosters again, I'll skip that and try one of their desserts. The Halibut seemed a little undercooked and only warm compared to the other food. But, certainly worth another try. The staff seemed very caring and attentive.
I got the top sirloin. I ordered it medium rare but the server talked to me about the steaks thickness and i decided to go with the medium instead of the medium rare at her recommendations of how thick the cut is and was really happy with her recommendation.
Our friends took us here while we were visiting in Klamath falls. The food was excellent. It's not fast so meant to relax and enjoy, not rushed. Service was great. It's fine dining in the center of downtown. Something special.
Good was excellent! Our waitress was wonderful at first. Then disappeared for at least 1/2 hour. I don't think the table near us ordered before that happened. The atmosphere was quiet, but as the restaurant filled up, it grew a bit noisy.
It was the final night of our 19 day vacation, first since 2008. The hotel recommended Roosters when asked what the best fine dining in town. We were taken aback as we entered this establishment with its old world charm and decor. We were taken to a center table with nice lighting. Not a fan of dark modern restaurants. Clean table cloth almost looked starched. A waitress soon came and asked how we were, filled water glasses and passed out two menus each and a wine list. We had agreed that being our last night before heading home, the world was the limit. We ordered the fruit appetizer and the caviar salads my wife wanted the fresh filet of salmon I ordered for the two of use which included the lamb chops for myself. We enjoyed a glass of wine with the start and another with our meals. Everything was superb. Waitress and staff engaged when engaged, and were very courteous and friendly. I was a wonderful final experience that sweetly and romantically capped off our vacation.
Our amazing waitress, Katherine. What a joy she was to meet. Made us feel so welcomed. She's hilarious. The atmosphere and food were perfect. Felt like a hidden gem. So glad we decided to stop. We were traveling and just spent the night. But area around there was beautiful.
One of the best places to eat in town!! Traveling from out of state and needed a great meal and Roosters did not disappoint!! The scalloped potatoes and lobster Mac n cheese are the best!! Steaks were great! Only thing I would dock them on was the service, waiters were a little slower.
So much food i may not need to eat for the next couple of days. Ordered the new york steak blue it was a biy overdone but you can never get a blue or rare steak in the usa. Starts with a soup or salad option and today the soup was barleyband since it was cold out i went with that option. First u get a cold plater of fruits and crakers with cheese. Then bread and finally the main course. If u have room there are deseet options as well.
