Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I’m on a long trip and run 500 miles a day and love a great steak for dinner. I found this little gem in a small town, the place is small but clean filled with farmers, ranchers and locals. I ordered 8 oz filet with bacon wrap and a loaded baked potato at a reasonable price. It was excellent and they used local beef. I love to support small businesses that are in towns that are slowly drying up due to whatever reason. ( I’m sure you know the reason) They are the backbone of America. Try it you will not be disappointed. The whole menu is more than pleasing!!!
Nice, efficient service. The steak was cooked as requested. Crackers for my salad would've been nice and maybe some bread with my meal. I have gone back twice since my first visit. Both sweet potatoes and potatoes are great. Beans (pinto, not baked) come with the steak, a nice addirion. The establishment has local character and is a refreshing change from franchises.
Great steak. Service is friendly. Remember it takes a bit to cook a steak properly. Love the sweet potato with toasted marshmallows!
Let me tell you!!! This eat was one of the peaks of our visit to the area. Everything is homemade and delicious! Steak was cooked a perfect "medium" the baked potato was perfectly cooked and the beans!!!!!My husband's chicken fried steak was huge. I'm excited to return to try the fried catfish and shrimp!
Passing through and saw this place. Really good food. Probably one of the best chicken fried steaks I have ever had. If you're not a big eater I suggest sharing this plate as I struggled to choke down the last few bites.
Took the family to this steakhouse. We had the grilled chicken breast, pork chop, hamburger, and kids pizza. The food was great. Our pork and chicken dishes were supposed to come with a salad which we never got, but I chose not to make a big deal about it. Got the peach cobbler for dessert. The cobbler was great. It just took a long time to come out and we were stuck there just hanging out for what must have been 15-20 minutes. Atmospherewise I felt it was substandard. It was a bit warm inside, the table was sticky, and the interior of the building had some maintenance issues to resolve.
My girlfriend and I visited Y'alls while in NM for dinner. We were seated quickly (only one other couple in the restaurant at ~5PM). It did take a bit for the server to ask for our drink orders as well as our food orders, but the food itself did not take too long to be brought out. We both ordered a medium-rare ribeye steak, I ordered a loaded baked potato as my side and she ordered fries. We got the steaks "New Mexico Style," which I enjoyed but my girlfriend did not. The steak is smothered in pepper jack cheese and green chiles (my GF thought there were too many chiles on hers). Steak was cooked as ordered and the potato was great! My GF also enjoyed her fries. Overall, good food, average service, solid southwest atmosphere. Would recommend.
Best Steak House bar none!....Okra, asparagus, Complimentary pinto beans and split the best ribeye steak 16oz that we ever had...Service impeccable....All Steaks are cut in house from private stock at a cost that will leave money left for the best peach cobbler that you have ever tasted...We"ll be back!
