Randomly found this place, ordered a tortas and the portion just amazing with 60 pesos compared with what I got the other day paid 50pesos for a tiny quesadilla from other place. I highly recommend this canteen! And plus, one of the staff do speak English makes my selection easier!
Mexico City is the land of tacos. There are a lot of places that you’ll wait in lines that are extremely long, and sure, most of those places are fantastic. This place on the other hand, gives any of those places I run for their money, and some. I had the taco and it might’ve been one of the best tacos I’ve had in my life. Normally I love writing reviews and this is the only time I’ve ever debated not writing one because I almost hope this place doesn’t get as popular as any of the other notorious places that have lines of the door. Enjoy this place, spread the word, but hopefully it doesn’t go too far.
Wonderful place to eat cochinita in centro. Delicious food and kind people. Very worth stopping by!
Fantastic cochinita pibil. Get the torta. Get the taco. Get another.
Affordable and tasty. Seems like a place where locals eat in their day to day.
Just your old town Mexico City taco place. Maybe 6 tables, a counter kitchen against one wall and another street facing cook stove like a wok pork cooker where passer bys can order tacos to go. It has 2 old CRT tube TV's going on the same channel. We watched a horrible US b rated action movie followed by the lead up to the Mexico Paraguay Soccer match to be held in Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara California. The whole back wall was full of coke in bottles because they got it at a special offer price. I had two beef and two al pastor tacos with cheese and horchata. ABSOLUTELY EXCELENT FOOD. The diced, marinated onions were as spicy as anything and we did not even touch the other two chile sauces. One red and one green. Fresh limes, wax paper to hold tacos and a pile of napkins were provided by our attentive but not suffocating waiter. He was paying close attention to the TV. When I go back I want to try the torta Cubana. Cost of three full meals of 4 tacos each, plus two Cokes and a large horchata was 290 Pesos. ($16).
