Interesting food. The food as such is good and well prepared but there is very little variety between the dishes. Be sure to make reservations as this place gets very busy.
It’s hard to find good Taiwanese food when you live abroad, but this restaurant is authentic and the food was absolutely delicious, even for my very picky palate. The aubergine dish was something else, I would say even surpass the Taiwanese food I have at home. As a side note the owner was also really nice to us when we visited after the coronavirus lockdown. Making sure we had all the hygiene items we need. Chatted with us while we waited for food. My mamma would be very happy that I finally found a taste of Taiwan in Europe after 17 years’ search.
Even though there are not that many options, the food they do offer here not only looks good, but it is also very tasty! I will come here again, and highly recommend this place!
The place is a bit dark and the tables would need a refresh but the fantastic quality of food and the nice service compensate more than enough for them. The place is not big so reservation is mandatory to hope to find some place. The menu is not rich in choices , few plates with variations ( pork, chicken, shrimp, duck, beef), some starters and 3 vegetarian plates, but if everything is good as the one I took then it's more than enough, better few but well made. Will return for sure to test the rest of the menu.
Absolutely pleasant cozy place to have your dinner after a long eu commission session. The food is tasty, service is pleasing, You receive great personal advice on food selection and it is firmly on time regarding your food. I recommend trying both a soup and a main dish at once 5 stars, will come back
Small hidden gem near Place Jourdan. Only a few tables to enjoy fabulous Taiwanese food. Delicious and extremely well cooked dishes with nice and gentle staff.
Tai Hon is a hidden gem a few meters from Jourdan. Their food is simply incredible. I tried the deep fried cabbage as an appetizer out of curiosity because it was the first time I saw it on a menu and it blew me away; so simple yet so delicious! The flavours were so clean, they definitely keep their frying oil fresh unlike so many places. I then went for the garlic eggplant sauce with pork and it was so good. I don't usually enjoy eggplant because I feel it often ends up soaked with fat (and not flavour) in many dishes, so I was curious to give this a shot after our very nice waitress recommended it. I could have eaten kilograms of the stuff. The eggplant was incredible, and the pork was crispy on the outside and melted in my mouth. The rice was cooked to perfection, I hadn't eaten rice that good in a while! Prices are also fairly low for the amazing quality, at €16-17 for a main course. I can't know for sure, but given the price and the small menu (which I take as thoughtfully selected), I have a feeling the owners really want to transmit a piece of their food culture. And they did so beautifully. Definitely give this place a try, but don't forget to book a table in advance as it's pretty small and tends to be packed.
Very nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly and you know they are not faking the hospitality. The food is good quality and well prepared. I think the appetizers are nice but a little too expensive. The main dish is good portion and comes with rice. Say no to Chinese takeaway and come eat in a proper restaurant! :)
