5 stars to the hardworking staff who welcomed us so warmly. Food was great. Glad they had vegan options. I would visit again 100%.
This place has the best Thai food I’ve ever had and usually when I travel the US I have Thai food everywhere I go, and this is still number one, I’m from El Paso, Texas, and drive here specifically to have their pad se iw, with tofu extra spicy and their tom yum soup . Service is always good and food comes out Fast, prices are good.
Adding this review especially for vegetarians, as it’s not always easy to find places with good vegetarian options. Being Indian and vegetarian, we are quite particular and careful about what we can order, so sharing this in case it helps someone. We ordered vegetarian food and tried the edamame, spicy mango sushi (which usually comes with tuna, so we specifically requested no tuna), and Pad Thai (we asked to add tofu and make it without egg). The sushi and Pad Thai were very good and flavorful. The edamame, however, could have been steamed a bit more—it felt slightly raw. We were quite hungry, so we still ate it, but it’s something that could be improved. Our server, Danielle, was excellent. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, she did her best to be quick with taking our order, serving the food, and bringing our check. She works at lightning speed—fast, attentive, and very helpful. She guided us in choosing dishes and recommended the appropriate spice level based on what we ordered, which we truly appreciated. Another big plus is that the restaurant was open late on New Year’s, which was a lifesaver. While driving there, we noticed many places were already closed or closing around 7 PM, so this turned out to be the best option for us. Overall, a good experience with great service and decent vegetarian options.
My family and I have eaten here several times. I find their food, pretty healthy and good quality. They struggle to keep good help so sometimes some of the sushi is not available and sometimes the Wait staff is lacking. Considering this is in Alamogordo and there’s not enough food help to find, it’s kind of expected. Also wish that they would serve brown rice for those with dietary restrictions They have great parking! Everything we have eaten there has been good and we will continue to go back!
My boys really enjoyed eating here. They loved the gyoza. The sushi rolls are very big. Soups are go. My son loves the Thai tea. Usually not too busy for lunch when we go.
First off, consistency is key we've been here 4 times now, Everytime it's been perfect! The Pork Fried Rice and Volcano Roll are to die for, and if their a little slow, who cares besides the Karen's? Your foods gonna be delicious and worth every second of the wait! Keep it up Asian Garden!
Excellent, high-quality Asian cuisine. I especially enjoyed the Japanese and Thai food, though every dish is worthy of recommendation! The restaurant felt very traditional but welcoming, and there was plenty to choose from. Service is a bit slow, but only due to understaffing, and our server was very kind and helpful. While it may be slow at busier hours, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for traditional Asian food!
So glad we decided to stop here! My family and I decided to come down the mountain and try one of the few Asian restaurants there is in Alamogordo, we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! My husband ordered the Drunken Noodles and the Sushi Sampler (they have two size options). The noodles were jam packed with flavor and both him and my daughters thoroughly enjoyed the Sushi, my daughter mentioned the sushi wasn’t fishy at all, she said it tasted very fresh and was pleasant to the palate. The yellow Curry and Chicken Thai Fried Rice also came in generous portions and were delicious and satisfying. The star of the show for me was the Hot Pot soup we ordered. It was $14, and was enough for three people. It comes in either shrimp or chicken and they have two broth options. We opted for the coconut milk one with cilantro and WOW WAS IT DELICIOUS!! Honestly, I will be going back for that Hot Pot alone. They have a variety of drink options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The Thai Tea my daughter had was super refreshing and creamy. My husband and I had the Fuji Apple Sake and Pear and they were so smooth and sweet, the Sake was delicious. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable with her recommendations for food. The prices were $10 and up but that seems to be the norm nowadays. If you’re in the mood for some Thai/Japanese food give this place a try. Step out of your comfort bubble and try out some new things from the menu, you might just surprise your taste buds! This place is a thumbs up for me.
