Found this place when I was craving seafood. The razor clams was delicious but they charge extra for water spinach, and barely any clams. They use a lot of fat (yea, actually small lumps of straight up fat) in their sauces so be careful when you decide to add the sauce to your rice after finishing the escargot. The fat will make you wanna run a marathon or go to your doctor for meds. They offer a discount (3%) if pay in cash.
The food is delicious, especially the sour fish soup and stir-fried obtuse horn shell in coconut. The peach tea is amazing—a must-try! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the restaurant’s atmosphere creates a very comfortable vibe. It was a wonderful experience!
Oc Cay Dua is hands down the best Vietnamese family-style restaurant! The food is cooked to perfection flavorful, authentic, and truly reminds me of Vietnam. The staff are incredibly friendly and always go out of their way to help. The owner, Thuy, is an amazing person with a one-of-a-kind personality that makes every visit feel special. If you’re craving anything from Vietnam, you can find it here! Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back every week!
The restaurant exceeded my expectations! I enjoyed every dish I tried. The seafood was of very high quality, and the flavors were amazing and authentic. The service was excellent, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
If Oc is you're thing, this is the perfect restaurant for you!! We're visiting San jose for a week. My daughter and I love seafood especially oc/clams. We ate here on our last day...should have tried it earlier. There are so many choices for different types of snails and clams. You can order them any way you crave/want. Not many places have this option. They give you 3 different types of sauces for the seafood. We'll definitely come back when we are back in the area. My non-seafood son had the shaking beef and eggrolls. There's something for everyone. Make reservations if you're going to have a large party.
Great place for shellfish and others. The beef with crispy rice is very salty. Otherwise food is amazing! Might be a wait on a busy night, but it's worth it!
Service and atmosphere are average for family and friends restaurants. Great place for snails and clams. Oc len xao dua great, oc huong hoang kim and scallop grill are alright, bun rieu oc decent. Seafood noodle stirfry is creative but not perfected yet, it is between drier Chao Zhou style or thicker sauce Thai style. Banana Icecream is good, recommended for vegan.
My friends and I came on a Saturday night and had a fun feast here. The waiter was friendly and accommodating. The dished were well prepared and have satisfying, almost authentic taste.
