My friend and I stopped by for Tuesday lunch time. Pho 579 is located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. This is a pretty standard Vietnamese restaurant where they sell pho, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, bahn mi, etc. My friend and I ordered the following: Pho dac biet Mi Ga Cafe Su Da Chanh Muối The service is pretty fast (food and drinks came within 10 or less minutes). The broth for the pho was decent- hot, savory, maybe a little too oily for my liking but delicious! I loved the Mi Ga’s soup- lighter than the pho broth but just as savory and flavorful. The chicken meat was nice & lean and with the bean sprouts, lettuce, cilantro, and lime, it was a delicious bowl. As for the drinks, the cafe su da tasted much stronger than previous ones I’ve had from different pho restaurants but it was enjoyable. Overall, not a bad spot for some Vietnamese food and the prices are decent too.
Unless a Vietnamese friend had recommended this place as THE best Pho in this part of town, I would have probably driven right by. Every time I have Pho, I compliment it with a Chicken BM (#3 on this menu), and it was delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Their pho, chicken rolls, banh mi is so good! The broth is very tasty. Price ain't bad at all!
My husband and I had the Special Cơm which is as the picture and I also had xi muoi drink. The cơm was pretty good but the drink was not good and not much for a ~$5 drink, it was sour and salty at the same time. I expected it to be a little sweet.
I have been to this place many many times since I moved to Houston! Seeing it changed and get a total make over is the best thing! Even though they remodeled the store, EVERYTHING stays the same! The food is still tasted Delicious! The Staffs are still so helpful and the Atmosphere is so COOL! We would recommend everyone who loves Vietnamese food to come to this restaurant in the North side of Houston! Worth the money and they didn’t even change their price! We have a Beef Pho and Dry Mixed Noodle with two appetizers and it only costs us around $25. We will continue to come as everyone are treated with warm welcome and a feeling of home!
One of the best Vietnamese in town. I come here often almost every week for the last couple years. They has big menu and good prices.
Good authentic Vietnamese restaurant with a largeish menu selection to choose from. Food comes out hot and in a timely manner. Every time I've gone they run out of soup spoons and we always have to hunt down (or someone) to get more. My favorite thing to order here is C8, a combination broken rice plate.
While the atmosphere and the interior are nothing special, the food was so incredible! To start off, the server was very kind and patient and the food came out very quickly. We had the combination phó, pork vermicelli noodles, and a side of shrimp spring rolls. All of these were very delicious and were made even better with the sauces that came with them! Will definitely be coming back another day!
