Friendly, fast service, great recommendations. I loved my food because it was fresh and flavorful… not to mention the portions were good for the price. I would recommend and return to try other entrees.
Delicious specialties from Hue, Vietnam! Our table shared a platter of bánh bèo (steamed rice cakes with shredded shrimp) for appetizers and ordered Vietnamese coffee (cà phê sữa đá) and salted coffee (cà phê muối) for beverages. Everything was delicious. The coffee was sweet, robust, and authentic. The salted coffee had a salted cold foam/whipped topping that offered a nice balance of sweetness. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Our cousins who frequent this place love their Mì Quảng (yellow rice noodle dish). We also got their Bún Hến Huế, Bánh Canh Nam Phổ, Bột Chiên, and Cơm Gà (in order: clam vermicelli noodles, thick noodle soup with udon cut in smaller pieces, egg rice cakes, and fried chicken rice). I really enjoyed their egg rice cakes and would recommend the food and drinks here; items you can’t get at other popular Viet restaurants. Enjoyed my experience and the staff was very kind and helpful! Ambience was very nice despite it being somewhat busy on a Sunday!
Amazing Central Vietnamese food and excellent service! I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The flavors of the Central Vietnamese dishes were incredibly authentic — rich, savory, and full of depth. Every dish we tried was delicious. What made the meal even better was the warm and attentive service. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. You can tell they care about both their food and their customers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying Vietnamese meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!
We spotted Phu Xuan Restaurant across from the vietnamese grocery store and decided to stop by and give it a try. My mom ordered Mi Quang, while I went with Bun Bo Hue. The beef noodle soup was delicious and loaded with toppings. My mom really enjoyed her bowl as well. The service was great, and we’re definitely planning to come back to try some other dishes next time.
the best bun bo hue on the north side. this is a central Vietnamese restaurant and so has dishes you don’t often find at most Vietnamese places in Houston, which feature southern Vietnamese cuisine.
Delicious vietnamese food!! I had the Bun bo hue, and tried some Bun thit noung. The soup was very nice and rich, with yummy toppings and veggies. Vermicelli was surprisingly delicious plus the fish sauce! Very tasty at a really great price. I would like to come back and try some more!! 100% recommend, also has a cute atmosphere!
I love bún bò and bánh bèo here best. The place is spacious and airy. The staff are friendly and attentive.
I had an incredible experience at this Vietnamese restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing, and you can tell that each dish is made with love and authenticity. The beef noodle soup is to die for – tender, flavorful, and so satisfying. If you’re a fan of rich broths, this is definitely a must-try. The Salt Foam Milk Coffee is another standout – it’s unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness makes it an unforgettable drink. On top of the fantastic food, the customer service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and really made the experience feel special. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Vietnamese cuisine in NW Houston
Hands down for the best truly authentic Bun Bo Hue in town! The broth was clear and flavorful. Food came out pretty fast. The place is spacious enough for all sizes of parties. The staff were also nice. Pricing is a little bit higher but food quality was decent enough for us to come back again.
Flavorful dishes! Friendly service. The owner offered us free homemade candied ginger for the Lunar New Year celebration uses too much plastic regarding cuttleries
So cool to see a Vietnamese restaurant that specializes in Hue cuisine on this side of town! I love Hue food so this place was on my radar for a while. I tried the Mi Quang, which is one of my favorite dishes of all time. It was one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant in Houston. Usually I prefer this dish when it’s homemade but theirs was just as good. I loved the wide, thick noodles and all the nice textures coming from the fresh vegetables, peanuts, and roasted rice paper. The addition of a hard boiled egg was a nice and welcoming surprise! The broth was super flavorful which is the most important aspect. The pork was also very tender and delicious. I tried my mom’s Bun Mam Nem and thought it was delicious and authentic as well. The mam nem sauce was very pungent and flavorful. Loved all the protein in this dish. The thap cam special was great as well. I loved the banh beo the most out of all the different tastings. The fish sauce was sweet and slightly spicy from the jalapeños which paired well with every item. Phu Xuan does Hue cuisine justice and I hope to see more people discover their delicious dishes!
Omg I can’t get over how good this restaurant is! It reminds me of hue- which was a city in Vietnam that I fell in love with. We ordered a combo to try the different rice cakes and than I also ordered rice noodle dish with clams and my mom ordered bun bo hue. We got garlic chicken dish to go and the chicken was so soft and flavorful. My mom said the meat for the bun bo hue was too hard for her teeth- she is elderly. But otherwise flavor was on point. This is a family restaurant and the servers were so sweet. Highly recommend
Best bun bo and mi Quang in Houston so far . The only down side is , portion was quite small . Nem chua is very good also
Excellent food and service. The nem chua is made in house and tastes fresh and full of flavor. The bun bo hue is also delicious. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service was quick and friendly. Great spot.
I have been coming here since they opened. I can’t find better place around this area for My Quang. My husband had Bun Bo Hue, it taste like the one from Hue city, not like South Vietnam like other restaurants make Bun Bo Hue. And that is how I like it too. Phu Xuan’s Bo Bo Hue taste closer to bbh from my hometown taste.
Authentic Hue’s food. Banh Canh Nam Pho was so amazing and unique in town. The bun thit nuong was also so flavorful and tasty which is different from other restaurants. The cakes were so so in general. But the owner was so nice and really took care of customers. Absolutely will be back
