BEST BURGER I have had. Onion rings are homemade and fabulous. Try the on tap Root beer , it is great. I will continue to eat here. Best food in Big Lake.
Excellent service. The owner even came out and talked to us before we got our food. The only fault I have is that my steak was a bit overcooked. The food was very good, though. The green beans had chunks of bacon in them. The mashed potatoes had the skins on them and were perfectly seasoned. The steak was good in the middle where it was cooked to medium well. I got a side of fried okra, and it was very good. You could taste the okra. Many places, you mostly taste the breading. We will be back.
The Boudin balls appetizer was great. We had the Prime Rib and the price was amazing. The Prime Rib was average. The sides were good. The service was great! I’ll go back but I’ll probably try something different next time.
Food was so good. The pork fried egg rolls and fried pickles were delicious! My daughter loved her steak and she is picky the price was even better. Definitely be back next weekend.
Had lunch on a Friday. Our order included Hush puppies, Cod Basket with fries, a Burger plate, and a Philly Steak Sandwich basket with onion rings. The Hushpuppies were golden and delicious. Fries were fresh cut potato fries, the burgers are ground on site and hand pattied, the Cod was deep fried a crispy golden brown, the onion rings were just the right done so onions were firm but not crunchy, and the philly steak meat was just right...not fatty or grizzly. The resturant is clean as well as the bathrooms are clean and styled nicely. Prices are right and reasonable.
The food is ok, the same as you get most places with the exception of the Cajun menu, someone knows how to cook some good old swamp ppl food for sure. They can be pissy to out of towners at the bar, not so at the restaurant. Worth the trip if you like authentic Cajun food.
I love Floaters, its always a good time with friends or family. The drinks and food are the best price around especially for the variety and quality you get!
For a random bar in Big Lake, the variety of menu options such as seafood gumbo and jambalaya and killer French dip sandwiches plus big burgers was a surprise. Even better? The food was review-worthy delicious. We've had hit or miss service here before but this visit we got awesome conversation, pleasant and speedy support. Definitely will visit again.
