My husband got a fried tenderloin and I got a bacon cheeseburger with everything & swiss cheese. White cheddar cheese balls for an appetizer. Beer was served cold in a frosted glass & service was great!! Overall great dining experience!!!

Went in hoping under new ownership there would still be waffle fries. Were out of homestyle which would have been my first choice then but the food was okay. The chilled mugs were made of metal so it kept the drinks cold the whole way through so that was very satisfying. No tap to pay which on some days would have ended visit before I could even order but I had other means that day. Signs were amazing like "free beer tomorrow " or something like that.

We had catfish and carp dinners tonight. The service and meals were excellent. They were short on baked potatoes and catfish. as had been quite busy. The price is well worth it. Waitress was attentive.

Nice going back to my folks old establishment. This restaurant/bar has been around for many years in a small historic town of montrose iowa. Met the new owner who is quite pleasant. Their bar has large windows overlooking the Mississippi River, which is quite calming. The boaters come off the river for. Meals. I had a chicken wrap with Manga habanero sauce. Really good. They have a very good menu selection and reasonably priced. Clean establishments. Live music at times. Also an outdoor garden area to sit in. You can follow old River road( called the Mormon trail) to historic city of keokuk, iowa. Great historical area. Still had a one room school house along the way.

I really like the atmosphere here. People aren't afraid to chit chat. I really love how they put up the local kids art work or the kids that just pass through. The Sandbar is definitely a place I will return. The location right on the Mississippi River is so beautiful. The decor is on point for a beachy feeling. They have a pool to shoot some pockets. The cook yall, L'me tell yall. He or she sure can make up a burger. Uuummmm. Them good pickles to. Oh yes. I don't think I can say anything on the cleanliness. I have no complaints on that. WHICH SAYS ALOT YALL. Big bar for lots of friends and memories. Yall should come on by.

Very good food and friendly people! Quite a unique atmosphere as well. Can tell it would be a great place on game day for a Hawkeye game! Wish I didn't live almost 2 hours away or I would come here more often!
