Absolutely FANTASTIC I can’t say enough good things about this fine establishment!! We arrived just after 5:40 and were pleasantly surprised we didn’t have to wait, seated and ordered right away the family deal is incredible! Service was absolutely top shelf and he was very kind the food was hot and had absolutely the perfect taste! I’m very salt sensitive and normally cannot eat anything like this! But absolutely everything was perfect the soup was the best egg drop soup I’ve ever had and the main course was even better! Hot, no salt and fresh but not raw we could all relax and talk and laugh and enjoy family time together Every employee was very kind and considerate our drinks were never empty and what a blessing the entire place was fantastic, the flavor and quality of everything was just perfect!! Even the bathrooms were spotless I’m sure we will return when we can and I highly recommend this fine place for everyone families or just on your own. Thank you for making a busy day end with the perfect dinner experience
Wonderful mom and pop Chinese restaurant. Authentic food. Super clean. Dinning room was spotless, restrooms were super clean. Amazing food that was fresh, clearly not frozen. We had the family meal which included an excellent appetizer tray selection. Soups were flavorful and wonderful. Happy family stir fry was the best, "fun" noodles were very good too. Shrimp were tender and fresh. We will definitely stop here again - worth the five minute drive from the freeway.
Good Chinese restaurant for a small town vibe, fast service. Food came quick, food was good, huge and yummy. Overall it was an amazing Saturday lunch.
The food was served hot, came fast, and the owners were SOOOOOOO nice. I can't say anything bad about this place it was my best restaurant experience in a long time! If I had unlimited money I would buy this food everyday and the customer service was top tier. Thanks to the workers and owners!
The food is by far the best quality Chinese food I've ever found in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota. I live in Lincoln and have eaten at most Lincoln Chinese food establishments, this is twice as good my favorite Lincoln spot (great wall). In Iowa I once got chicken nuggets soaked in soy sauce for "general tso's" But that's Iowa, what do you expect. Anyways service was an 11/10. Food was 10/10 on tase and quality. I have eaten at at least 30 Nebrska/great plains Chinese food restaurants do to my work and I have to say this was best quality food AND the best service I've come across. I took a good portion of the meal back to the hotel, and this is the first time I've ever actually enjoyed reheated food from a Chinese restaurant! It's all about quality!
Food cooked freshly, taste fresh and authentic. Service is excellent.
Yum yum yum here I come. What a great way to start my day by having lunch at the Golden Village. A Chinese family owned restaurant. I walk in and I'm greeted right away by the owner and he had a seat ready for me. Prompt service is always appreciated and he was right on top of it. I had hot tea and it was brought out In a mini teapot along with a sipper cup. My Wonton soup was superb in texture, taste and presentation. Now comes the main lunch. I ordered the sweet & sour chicken with fried rice and a vegetable egg roll. Perfectly cooked white meat inside a flavorable breading with a light orange sweetness of sweet & sour sauce and nice BIG crunchy pieces of onion and green peppers. The presentation of this delicious lunch is so inviting. I just love the partition plate, so colorful and large. I didn't know what to eat first. Soup it is! The owner likes to up a bit and I'm guessing maybe a little encouragable. Don't be afraid to say hi to Steve when you go in. Thank you Steve for the spectacular customer service! See yeah soon.
This was one of the best rated food joints in town, so we tried it last night on our way through. It wasn’t anything spectacular, but it wasn’t bad either. I’ve been to a lot of poor Chinese food restaurants lately, and this was better than most of my recent experiences, but didn’t particularly impress me either. We ordered a couple of appetizers, a couple of soups, and 3 types of chicken. Soups came out quite quickly and were fine. Egg drop soup and hot and sour soup. The kids and I liked the hot and sour better, but hubby liked the egg drop better. We thought that both could have been a bit more flavorful though. For appetizers, we had egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. Both came out fairly soon after the soup, and were very fresh and crispy, so that was nice. For the thickness of the wontons, we would have appreciated a little more of the cream cheese mixture, but they were still enjoyable. Egg rolls were good enough too. Nothing too special. The chicken dishes we had were cashew chicken, Szechuan chicken and General Tsao. The cashew was decent, but not terribly flavorful. Lots of onions and green bell peppers. I don’t think there were cashews in the dish, but they were piled on top. The general tsao was breaded and had a decent flavor, but was unfortunately quite tough to chew. I usually love breaded chicken, but it was a bit much for my jaw. The Szechuan was not breaded and was also decent, but not very flavorful. The chicken was very tender though, so that was good. LOTS of carrots and onions in the Szechuan. It also had a crown of broccoli around it, which made it prettier. Both the Szechuan and the general tsao had a little bit of spice to them, but nothing crazy. The chicken dishes came out with one big plate of rice that looked kind of yellow-orange. I am not sure what made the color, as I really didn’t detect much flavor. Hubby thinks oil made the color, and it was a little oily—so maybe he was right. The elderly gentleman taking our order was kind. He was also the one to bring us all of our food. I think he might own the place? All of the food came out in quite a timely manner. We did have to wait a bit for the check because he was taking the order of a very large group, but probably only waited about 10 minutes after finishing eating. The bathrooms could have used a little bit of attention, with a bunch of paper towels/toilet paper on the ground by the walls, but I know it can be hard for small places to do everything at once. At least there was a changing table in the Women’s restroom though. Also, they’re single-user restrooms, not stalls.
